PEOPLE LIKE HIM, the so-called freaks of society, was shown no mercy. He was the out-cast, the troubled soul by definition, and he flaunted it everywhere he went. It wasn't like Kenkone liked the attention; no, he very much hated it. But he'd rather suffer than let others suffer.
One would think that he would be able to control his own powers by now. That he'd be able to take off his gas mask and not worry about killing everyone around him. But when you have been the cause of many people's death in a senseless war, there's no recovery from that. His mind was scared, his mentality broken. Kenkone was, quite literally, a walking bio-weapon and he would not be able to live with himself if--God forbid--he lost control.
Some people did not take kindly to his existence, and after seeing him roam about, decided to take action. Keep in mind that the Experiment was strong and had inhuman strength, but he could never use that strength against his attackers as they beat him down. He accepted each blow, actually believing he deserved it--
-- Until a bat to the head knocked the gas mask he wore right off. In that very moment, panic settled. The blood laced with arsenic spilled and tainted the ground, widened eyes filled with fear falling on his attackers. It was not fear for himself, but fear for them.
He cried for them to run before it was too late, but even as he spoke, sulfuric gas spilled from his mouth like a dragon's breath. The toxins continued to lead from his nose to his eyes, the dark, sickly plumes surrounding him and filling the area. His attackers screamed and fled, the innocent by-standards who watched in horror following suit.
Scrambling for his mask, Kenkone strapped it on and fled the scene, the sound of cops in the distance. He ran until he felt like he was safe, and his back pressed against the grimy wall. Sinking down, he wrapped his arms around his knees, curling up into a pathetic ball.
Though, the sound of footsteps caught his attention and his eyes snapped up, and even behind the lens of his mask, he appeared like a wounded, wild animal.
