where: Autumn quarters in Sterallia.
Catalina was standing by a window in the Autumn quarters, looking down at what she could see from the Twilight isles from her vantage point. She had been moving her pieces slowly, taking measured steps to make sure her and Autumn were all protected in the new and mysterious court. And for that she needed her commander and second close by and alert at all times. This was what they trained for all their life and their abilities and loyalties were being tested through this. She knew she could trust Omar. He had been with her for long enough for Catalina to know that protecting their court was his life's purpose. But she wasn't so sure about Kenna yet. She didn't know her as well.
When she heard the footsteps approaching her, she waited a beat to turn to face her. "I assume Omar told you I expect you both to be available at all time while we are here. At least one of you must be with me, depending on the assignment." She said flatly. No greeting, no pleasantries. That was a waste of time for Catalina. "You are both to stay here in the Autumn's quarter, I arranged your chambers." The High Lady finally pulled back from the window and walked towards her second in command and as she did, she added. "If that's alright with you."
Catalina waved at one of the arm chairs in the room for Kenna to take a seat and once she did, the high lady sat by her side. "How have you been doing, Kenna? Is there anything you might need?" She asked her trusted second in command as a start, but this wasn't just a courtesy call, she had more in mind.
