Ella Enchanted because it’s just the embodiment of my childhood. The start of my love of reading and obsession with fantasy. I just love it so much and will continue to call it my favorite book because it always has been.
Hmm… probably The Great Gatsby. Everyone was like “it’s the best classic you’re forced to read” and I hated it. I appreciate what Fitzgerald was doing, but I still hated it.
I’m not a big poetry person, but I really like Maya Angelou’s “Alone”. It really captures why we need people, in my opinion.
Okay so I’m torn on this one. I was going to say John Green but I’ve only read two of his books and genuinely enjoyed the Fault in Our Stars, so I’m going to Kiera Cass instead. Kiera Cass is the author of the Selection Trilogy and those books are some of the most cliched pieces of fiction I have ever laid eyes on. Poor characters, terrible worldbuilding, horrendous plot, even worse character relationships. They are truly a masterclass on how not to write a book.
9.Character You Are Most Like.
Joel from The Rithmatist (Sanderson), Valkyrie Cain being a close second.
11.A Book You Look Forward To Reading.
Shadows of Self! I got it for Christmas. :)
13.A Book You Want To Read Again.
I want to reread the Guardians of Ga’Hoole books sometime soon because they were a big part of my childhood and it’s been a while since I read them.
15.Most Disappointing Book.
I’m going to have to go with Blood of Olympus (Riordan) for this one. Spotty plot, lack of important characters, lack of emotional payoff, lack of… everything that makes his books his books except the stupid Memes™ and I am still bitter.
