Family hiking at Kent Falls State Park
The beauty of Autumn in Connecticut can be best experienced by a scenic drive to Kent. This state park offers hiking, fishing and picnic tables. There is a 1/4 mile trail that goes up along the falls. It is a relatively moderate hike and I’ve done it while wearing a baby and a toddler. Kent Falls never gets old. Between the stunning views during our drive from Central CT, to the covered bridge, to the hike up the falls Kent Falls should be on all Connecticut resident’s bucket list. Pack a picnic and a blanket and rest at the bottom while enjoying the views and people watching.
Our kids love the opportunity to use their hiking sticks while getting out and enjoying nature.
