Plot:
"Don't you ever feel guilty killing people? The look of horror on their faces once they realize what you're about to do. Does your hand ever shake before you pull the trigger? Do you feel any sort of remorse?"
"Someone has gotta do it."
Spies exist in the world. They work along with those who can afford their services, and have accepted the consequences of the fact they are now associated with them. They are trained from a young age (selected from the Taskmaster) to decode, to handle weaponry, protect, and to fight through a variety of styles. It is their duty to follow orders, and to always make sure they complete their mission even if it means killing others. A failed mission could float over your head, bringing mockery to your skill within the company. Holding a gentle heart, or a sense of caring, can pull you back in the business. None of the spies have time to care for their target. They must focus on their goal.
They detest one another. Nate Xavier and Ava Garner had never gotten along, nor is there a sign they ever will. They have entered the company (Scout, the company name) around the same time, and trained alongside with each other. Their competitive rivalry began after their first mission. Ava strongly dislikes the special treatment Nate receives for being the son of a well-respected spy, Jonathan Xavier. Nate hates how easily people flock to Ava, asking for her company for a mission, and advice when it comes to weaponry. Whenever they are on a mission together, or even training, they make it their mission to outshine the other. The pair are known in the company to bicker; their verbal taunts growing nasty, and hurtful. They're also not afraid to shoot at one another during their training missions, although they are often punished for aiming their gun at a fellow "spy partner".
The pair are required to get along. The fate of Jonathan Xavier lies in their hands, and if they don't band together, Nate's father could be murdered.
It all started on August 08, 2013. Jonathan was meant to be going on a mission out of the country to Asia. It was his duty to deliver a message to the head of a well-respected family, but there was never any word of his arrival. There was no news of him departing the country either. A few days passed until everyone had gotten news. The spies had gathered in the meeting room, each knowing that the news they would hear would not be good. Jonathan had been kidnapped by Ryder Smith, an enemy spy, and his henchmen. For years, Ryder had been attempting to kill Jonathan ever since their first meeting. According to stories, both men had the same target. The first one to successfully assassinate their target will get hold of a large fortune, a fortune that could last over twenty years. Jonathan succeeded. That was the beginning of his fame within the spy world. He was praised, given the most missions out of everyone, and received large sums of money from rich families who wished for his protection. Of course, this pissed Ryder off. His hatred began, and soon enough, it became his obsession to get rid of Jonathon.
Now that he has Jonathan, Ryder is threatening the company for everything they got, otherwise he will kill Jonathan. Unfortunately, the Taskmaster of the company, Robert Grey, refuses to give in to such a claim. Coldly, Robert stated that Jonathon can be replaced by future spies, ones who are younger and capable of being more careful. This hurt a nerve with Nate. After all, that is his father Robert was referring to. Nate doesn't want to lose his only family member, regardless of past memories of being neglected because of Jonathon's occupation. Wanting to save his father, he convinces Robert to give him the mission of locating, and saving Jonathon before time runs out. The downfall is Nate has to partner up with Ava. If he refuses, the mission is thrown out of the window, and Jonathan cannot be saved or mentioned within the company again.
Nate and Ava have a month to locate Jonathon's whereabouts. Constantly, they are updated with hints that are being sent to the company by a mole that is associated with Ryder. They receive it through their gadgets, and through their cell phones. It is a wild goose chase. They have to travel out of New York City, and go wherever their hint takes them. If they follow it accurately, they can locate Jonathon. Yet, they can't. They fight too much. Ava and Nate argue about whose in charge, who should take control of their vehicle they're driving, which place to visit, and even who they speak to. They need to stop fighting if they want to complete this mission. They have to find a mutual understanding.
That is, if they're capable of accepting the fact they're partners.

Master level spies are capable of anything. They have mastered decoding, can speak more than one language, capable of manipulation, can handle weaponry, taught different combat styles, etc. They are well respected, and one level underneath the Taskmaster.
