Identifying deformed wing virus in hives. Heavily infected hives will have emerging adults with deformed wings.

Deformed wing virus is a globally present virus. This virus is one of the most widely distributed viruses alongside black queen cell virus, sacbrood virus, and the acute paralysis virus complex.
