Meet Keq of The Broken Chains. You're gonna see a lot of him around here. He's my Goblin Barbarian in our Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep campaign. He is such a precious goblin boy and just wants help in the best way he can. Lord protect those who hurt the ones he loves. This is him at level 3.
When the Wildlights were at Jiggo we encountered our rivals taking part in the many different contests. One of them was with Maggie Keeneyes, the Ogre. She was lovely and super sweet. She was taking part in an arm wrestling contest. What kind of barbarian would Keq be to turn down the opportunity to take on an Ogre in a contest like that. And so, The Goblin and The Ogre locked themselves in and began their contest. It was a spectacle to watch a Goblin (4ft 1) almost half the size of the Ogre (9ft 9) challenge each other in an arm wrestle. The contest was close but Keq had come out on top!.
There were many other such contests and Keq won them all! (The Keq with medals doodle is by one of the players in our game, @pheenick. I adore their doodles in our game)
Call of the Netherdeep trap spoilers for Chapter 3, the Betrayers Rise in Baxxozan. - - -
Something called out, Something cried out. Its wails cried out in hunger... wanting to be fed. and unfortunately...
Someone could hear it.
TLDR; He got better and no one died... but he did almost kill Halfryn and was not feeling okay about it afterwards.
@harpersheroes
The Party was really going through it that day. Keq hurt Halfryn bad but... they know it wasn't him in control. They don't hold it against him. but that's not how our lil' goblin buddy sees it. @harpersheroes
Dot just wanted their best friend to snap out of his fear and come back to them already. @pheenick but he's afraid he's gonna hurt them again. ALSO MEET OUR NEW PARTY MEMBER!!! ORPHEUS!! She's a Bloodhunter, Order of the Oneiroi, Palid Elf!!!! I think Keq and her are gonna get along just fine...@dndsaga
ALsoo here are some extra lill doodles from when I was trying to make the previous image... it isn't super nice but it makes me soft.
It's probably best to share a small lineup of the Wildlight crew, Our Call of the Netherdeep party. From left to right we have, Keq the Goblin Barbarian, Dot the "human" Rogue, Halfryn the Drow Cleric/Warlock, Ebris the Teifling Wizard/Warlock and Vanhorn the Half-Elf Ranger.
Keq loves them so much. Dot is his best friend, Halfryn is the mom of the group that keeps looking out for them when they get irresponsible, Vanhorn is basically his brother, and Ebris is the old man who keeps prestigitating the taste of soap in his mouth whenever he cusses.
Keq loves to spar and challenge strong and interesting people. That doesn't always mean he wins them though. After a very close match against Taskhand Verin Thelyss, Keq is excited to challenge him to a re-match once he practices some more. Verin was surprised at how Durable and tough this Goblin turned out to be. The rest of the group along with Verin's soldiers stood back and watched. Our Cleric/Warlock was a bit too focused on the Handsome Drow taskhand.
Meanwhile, our Rouge goes and does rogue things... I wonder if this will come up later.
Filler post for today, so I give you some doodles!! Enjoy!!
also some Dot stuff here too. @pheenick
Also, I feel like it's important to add that we have a scale to measure height we call the Keq scale... I'm pretty sure that is a real thing for something else but yeah... felt like this was important to share :3
