Something so common in Jakarta yet so rare in Bali: mussels! That's why when we spotted Kerang Kiloan Mamaji we didn't hesitate to drop by. The mussels are of medium small sized, and we ordered them boiled, the best way to cook mussels. As a surprise we're also served it's fried version as complimentary. Surely we're thrilled. The fried one turned to have more developed and savory taste compared with the boiled one. While we find the boiled one was good, I think we'll explore more into the fried ones next time we're here. As the condiment they served chili sauce and chili mayo. I wish they also serves the classic pineapple and peanut sauce, and the boiled version to have stronger garlic presence.
