Okay so my twitter has been receiving racist harassment over the course of a few weeks, and i feel tremendously annoyed.

Of course this is like, a culmination of a few weeks, but i don't think you guys should be talking about me or a fictional black hawaiian woman like that. I'm already tired and sick of the Model Minority myth (Which does not apply to Tana, the model minority stereotype can only even happen when in comparison to other races, i.e. "Asians are better neighbors than Black people bc they're more prosperous/are better with money" and not "Hawaiian woman is obviously token love interest for White guy who's doing race wars in Honolulu")
I answered this thoroughly on my thread, but in the case if anyone who is reading through these messages are wondering.
Tana's first appearance within Reign of Supermen almost entirely refer to her as "child", "kid", "girl", "kiddo" and "little". She is also in direct parallel to Kon, her grooming and own exploitation by Vinnie Edge, Close personal friend of Rex Leech, is a parallel to Superboy's grooming within celebrity culture. Tana is being sexually abused by Vinnie Edge, that is the both in subtext, and her grooming is within text. Her story is also arguably misogynoirist specifically because of how her abuse is specific to her identity, age being used loosely to refer to all other forms of gatekeeping and discrimination, which forces her to take on a job with less than savory people. Her age is a soft retcon, and her role as his peer AND love interest almost entirely unchanged despite this, therefore adultifying her within the story and tokenizing her as a tool to further the plot and soften the edges of Kon's Orientalism of Hawaii.
(I did recieve a nicer series of Straws regarding this issue of which i'm very glad about.)
That is finally to say,
Stop harassing random people of color because you hate a mishandled black character and want to justify it. Like, that's just racism 101. You're racist if you do that. Stop! You can also literally hate her without needing to put me up through it, i can't control you, just block me or something.
