Passed the 3rd round!

I got accepted! By my third choice university so far, ( Had Soongsil interview a couple days ago so no response from them yet, and nothing yet from Seoultech) Kookmin University and they are offering me an additional scholarship for 400,000 won per semester ( Like $370 usd) and free dorms! Woot! Going to finish my medical today now, since I definitely passed. So excited!

Third selection updaterino

Mreow, I’m actually not as stressed out in the third selection phase as I thought I would be. Some of the tests are taking a while so I’ll have the medical done by the end of this week hopefully. I had to get all my immunization shots updated, so that was not fun :’(. 

I received emails from 2/3 of my selected universities. Soongsil Uni will have interviews from the 17 - 27th May, so I have to stick to my phone for 10 days so that I don’t miss the call as they’ll be calling in Korean Time x.x (13 hr time difference for me). Kookmin Uni may or may not call, depending on the professor so I may have to wait around for a call from them too. No information yet from SEOULTECH, which is ironically the school I want to go to the most.

I still have 3 weeks and a couple days to get everything sorted for upload then another 2 weeks after that for Final Selection results.  I hope my name will be on the list! So excited! :D

Preparations~

Today I’ll be doing the medical for KGSP and hopefully getting the results today also. I dunno, some of the stuff may take a week because it’s loads of tests but at least it’ll be free! 8D Perks of having worked in the I.T. department of the hospital. Responses from universities are supposed to start from next week, so I’m looking forward to that as well. Hopefully everything goes fine and June 21st my name will be among the rest going to Korea this August.

 I’m definitely looking forward to a new beginning. New friends, new life. Maybe I’ll become a new person too lol, that way I can be more interesting and will always have friends and never feel alone. haha. Sad. Anyways, no more depressing thoughts because Overwatch is in open beta and I’ll keep busy playing that~ 그리고 GOT7 많이 봐요~

Halfway to Korea...maybe?

I haven’t updated in a while but I applied for the KGSP 2016 for a chance to study Computer Science and Engineering at a Graduate level in South Korea. May 3rd was the 2nd round’s result and I passed that! I was the only candidate from my country though (Our quota is 2 and every year prior they sent two students but for my turn, I’m the only one who applied T.T). 

I’m super excited and all I have to do now is complete and submit my medical forms, copy of passport and wait for responses from the three universities that I had chosen. I chose Seoultech (I really want to go there), Soongsil and Kookmin universities. They’re not as top tier as SKY (SNU, KU and YU) but I’m still a little worried if I don’t get chosen as you lose the scholarship if none of the 3 universities accept you. 

I don’t really have anyone to talk to about it so I guess I’m blogging, haha. So fingers crossed that everything goes well and that August 21st, 2016 I’ll be on my way to Korea! AHHHHH!!! It’s all I’ve ever wanted!!!  ;-;
