Dear everyone, Rajab is the month of istighfar.. And the lock down is like seclusion for us :) and its a month that contains Israa Miraj where Habiballah صل الله عليه وسلم went to meet Allah and turned into His true reality that is Nur Muhammad صل الله عليه وسلم.

Istighfar Alot and Yasin inshaAllah will do to combat corona.. Which is a blessing in disguise.

sinful activities which are openly done are also being stopped and everyone of us has gotten into the mode of sunnah that is to think of death.

Covid-19 is Reviving heart to think of Allah and after life.

Mosque is closed so that we can truthfully decorate the real mosque or house of Allah which is our heart.

Qalbu mumeen baitullah.

The heart of the believer is the (real) house of Allah.

Reporter Fateh Al-Rahman Al-Hamdani writes about his experience of secretly filming inside Sudan's Islamic boarding schools to expose abuse, and reveals why the investigation was so personal to him.

The film has had a huge impact in Sudan. The families at the centre of our investigation have been overwhelmed with offers of financial, legal and emotional support from people in their local communities and around the world. There's been an outcry on social media, with people calling for the khalwas to be shut, while others have said our documentary is an attack on Islam and have accused the BBC of anti-Islam propaganda.

But one powerful voice has been conspicuously slow to respond: Sudan's transitional government, who over the past year have been talking about reforming khalwas. In our film Sudan's minister for religious affairs, Nasreddine Mufreh, said that there would be no more "beating, torture, violation of human rights or children's rights whatsoever" inside khalwas. But we are yet to see any real change.

After the documentary was aired, the Sudanese government said they would be prosecuting all the schools the BBC had filmed in. They also issued a law prohibiting the beating of children in educational institutions and stopped funding all khalwas while they are carrying out a review of the schools.

All of these developments are signs that Sudan is dealing with the ghosts of its recent past, but the presence of thousands of children, chained and abused in khalwas, continues to haunt the country. Whether the government will act is a test of its will to challenge the powerful religious establishment in Sudan.

RETREAT AND SECLUSION

Retreat belongs to the elect, while seclusion is a sign of the people of union [with God]. It is incumbent on the seeker, who embarks on the path [to God], to seclude himself from his own kind. Then, at the end of his path, he should practice seclusion in order to achieve intimacy with God. When a man chooses seclusion he must be sure that he practices it in order to protect other people from his evil, not in order to be safe from their evil. The former comes from his thinking little of himself, while the latter comes from seeing himself to be better than others. A man who thinks little of himself is humble, whereas a man who considers himself to be more worthy than others is vain. Someone saw a monk and asked him: “You are a monk, aren’t you?” He answered: “No, I am guarding a dog. My soul is a dog that bites people. I therefore have removed it from them, so that they be safe from it.” Once someone passed by a righteous man, who, on seeing him, pulled his garment away from him. The passer-by said: “Why are you pulling your garments away from me? My clothes are not impure!” The righteous man answered: “I assumed that you would think that my clothes were impure, so I removed them from your way lest they soil your clothes, not the other way around!” One of the rules of seclusion is that the man who goes into seclusion must acquire enough knowledge to solidify his faith in the oneness of God in order not to be seduced by Satan’s whisperings. Then he should acquire enough knowledge of the Divine Law to be able to fulfill his religious duties, so that his undertaking would rest on a solid foundation. In essence, seclusion is but separation from reprehensible character traits. Its purpose is to turn [bad] qualities into [good]ones, not to withdraw from familiar places [into the desert]. Thus, when someone asks [Sufis] about the gnostic ('arif), they answer, “One who is here and not here”,meaning that he is [outwardly] with creatures, while in his heart he is separate from them...
