Cider Press Review Vol. 16 Issue 2: Khasmas
The saying is, "Better late than never." Isn't it? Let me catch y'all up with everything.
In April I was fortunate enough to have my poem Khasmas picked up by Cider Press Review. I wrote Khasmas about a year and a half ago or so and for me there isn't much to say about it other than I firmly believe it does what it is intended to do. It was probably the first poem I wrote where I immediately just stopped typing and thought, "Yes. This is it."
The poem spawned from reading an article on cosmology for a Science Fiction and Religion class that I was taking (if I can find the article ever again I will try to post a link or at least the title of it on here), but the article began dissecting the word Cosmology and this in and of itself became something very vast and expansive and the Greek word Khasmas was brought into the discussion and something about this all just struck a chord and that was the moment of inception for this poem.
