I just found out there is actual official Perfume of KHR (coming out???)

I saw it with this post (source in the comments):

But thinking of how the Varia smell is like anything between sweat, iron, blood, leather and super expensive cologne to me

Except for Lussuria who probably smells of some flowery sweet perfume.. and sweat from training

And Fran or Mammon who probably both have no smell at all or so faint you only recognize it when you get really close to them and even then it‘s literally just their shampoo you smell (apple scented shampoo for Fran and just some super clean hair wash for Mammon).

Fran (and kinda Tsuna) hc

Occasionally the Kokuyo gang would take residency in the Vongola hq but Fran would get bored easily and just start planting illusions everywhere to scare the staff. Then in comes Tsuna who naturally can see through illusions.

This starts a bunch of rumours around the hq of how the terrifying Neo-Primo walks through snake covered floors, has conversations with talking fruits, and does not even blink when the room is flipped upside down

Rereading KHR both for editing and interest reasons and I’m on chapter 1. I just wanted to yap a bit about it soo I’ll put everything under the read more so I don’t clog y’all’s dash and annoy yall xD

Kyoko as… Aro?

I am aromantic. I also like looking for aromantic readings of characters and, well, a couple panels with Kyoko stuck out to me! The one I want to talk about is right below:

Kyoko’s first reaction to Tsuna’s over the top confession was to assume it was a joke. What’s interesting about this is that no one else in the class, or even school, makes the same conclusion. While the other students mock Tsuna for his failed confession, they all still recognize it as a confession first and foremost —it’s why Mochida challenges Tsuna to a duel in the first place!

Kyoko’s misunderstanding introduces an interesting question: why doesn’t she consider it genuine? The obvious answer is that it was so over the top that nobody really should’ve taken Tsuna seriously. But, beyond the obvious, what else can we glean? There’s the second option that Kyoko is just lying to Tsuna in hopes of making him feel better. I don’t think that’s the case. Not only is Kyoko a genuine person but she doesn’t like it when others lie to her (notably when Ryohei lies) so I doubt she’d lie just to comfort someone either. Instead, I propose: what if Kyoko was aro? What if she didn’t think Tsuna was serious because she doesn’t think anyone is that serious about romance? In that light, of course she’d laugh!

Gokudera is the person who swears up and down that he would *NEVER* have kids, but the moment he holds his child in his arms for the first time, his world would stop, and he would love the child unconditionally.

But I'm really thinking about how illusionists have no concept of binary gender roles or norms. All the mist users have that little spice of non-binary and gender fluid vibe to me.

Fran is of course my favorite example of this. This little guy has no idea of what it takes to be either a girl or a boy nor woman or man. And he's so fine to be called with any pronouns. He just.. does not care about it.

As well as Mammon! I even always use they/them when adressing this little fella and it comes so natural to me.

God I love them so much and also their little triangle makeup things under their eyes!! It's so cute!!

In honor of my favorite frog‘s birthday I‘ll write some thoughts about his special day:

I can imagine he doesn‘t even know his actual birth date. Either he forgot or he was spiritually reborn when he got his hell ring. I mean come on 6.6.? That is too specific to actually be the date of his birth! He or Mukuro just decided that would be the date. If he decided himself he really thought it was the funniest thing in the world. He would probably say something like „At least I can remember it now“ and lift the hand with his ring on it.

Since Fran is probably cursed and haunted by the misfortune of his hell ring I think he won‘t have very happy birthdays throughout his life. I can picture him being picked up by the Varia/Kokuyo on that day, a very unlucky event in his life. The whole day it‘s basically Friday the 13th for him. He drops his favorite cup, broke his TV by accident and he can‘t find anything around the house etc.

But I do think he still likes the day, not because he‘s happy he survived another year in the Mafia world, no. He likes his birthday because he can make it everyone‘s problem. If he remembers he will mention it casually throughout the day in situations like „Do you really want to throw that knife, Senpai? I bet it‘s bad karma to hurt someone on their birthday“ or ask for favors all day long. Does this work? Probably not but he knows it bothers everyone in Varia or Kokuyo, wherever he might be at the time. Occasionally it even works. Chrome gives him his favorite kind of candy and maybe Luss makes him the breakfast he likes. Fran is still confused that some people remember (even Bel does but he won‘t admit it, ever) because he ironically does forget it himself (he usually doesn’t know what date it is in the first place) and is only reminded by someone around him. Some years he completely forgot and only realised it when he noticed everything going even more wrong than usual. Then he knows.

If Varia gives a special payment for the higher rank officer‘s birthdays he would probably buy himself a new game or maybe a new shirt with a really stupid print.

I‘m in a yapping mood today so I might just as well write this thought out and ask for your opinion on this!

When I was a teenager interacting with the KHR community online there were many theories on why Bel doesn‘t cut his bangs as to never show his eyes to anyone (most of them where wishful thinking and shipping hcs). But it‘s a fun detail to have literally 3 Varia members hide their eyes! Lussuria who seems to have fascinating eyes due to the OVA since everyone was so in awe when he took his sunglasses off. As well as Mammon who always remains mysterious as they are also an Arcobaleno at that! And I think it‘s very fitting for them. Since Lussuria can see through his glasses, but refuses to just be a pretty guy as he fights! And Mammon probably doesn‘t need to see anything through their hood since they‘re a powerful illusionist and probably just have the ability to know about their surroundings anyway.

But why Bel?

I thought a lot about that and I have two direction of ideas about it.

The first one being that he has those scary red eyes which he doesn‘t want to show to other people. Maybe because in his opinion no one would be allowed to see a Prince‘s eyes anyways and therefore he just hides them. BUT: Why would a guy who thinks of himself so high and mighty and knows how scary he is hide something that adds to the scaryness?? If that would be a thing, he probably would show his eyes to his enemy staring at them on purpose to make them feel the panic even more.

My second idea sounds more plausible to me but I also get the feeling this could be wishful thinking and add to his Prince characteristics. Imagine he could have those blue beautiful eyes with long lashes and kind expression in them, it would be pretty clichee, right?? This would totally destroy the whole „Prince the Ripper“ thing for him. Imagine you encounter the legendary scary killing machine and look into his eyes only to find a strong sense for loyalty and expression of feelings other than the expected violence in them. That would destroy his vibe and therefore he would rather hide his eyes from when he was a kid. No one should see his feelings, his beauty and think of him as a pretty and kind ruler, because he wants to be everything other than that. He wants to keep up his bloody and maybe punk attitude plus remaining a Prince!

But how does he see through his bangs??? Does he actually see through them? Does the light blind him too much? Does it have to do with his mental state? Why wouldn’t he just use glasses as well? Does he just want to show off how silky and pretty his blonde hair is?? Or is it just to pretend he is awake when he actually sleeps in any meeting (his deadly sin is laziness afterall)??

I have many questions and no answers, so please if you have an ideas on this or agree/disagree with me, let me know!

I think it's sad Amano gave only little tiny bits of Hibaris story and motivations.. but what are your headcannons?

I'm not talking about canon but I'm curious about your thoughts! Why does he like the school so much? Is he part of some Namimori specific Yakuza?? Does he actually want to have friends deep down??? And so on...

I would love to discuss your ideas and imagination! 💕

He could be so cool but his coolness is only based on vibes and that's sad :((
