Kia's guard dog like overprotectiveness that seems to go hand in hand with her military mode is probably because in her last moments before being capture and sent off for pow torture, was seeing her entire platoon surrounded and picked off one by one by the enemy. Knowing in those moments, she wasn't able to protect any of them........
I think when threatened Kia's backlighting probably glows red to signify her soldier mode is active.. normally she'll just unconsciously rgb cycle because of course she does ✅
it's very subtle since it's not too bright, but if you're really looking you'll probably realize that the red isn't melding into other colors like it normally should be..
Hex probably provides lollipops at the end or visits for littler devices. And kia.

she'd probably prefer to be turned off even for the most simplest of procedures... but still the anticipation leading up the visit and knowing why she's being powered down still is a huge emotional undertaking. Like how a kid cries up to and during getting a shot except for. WAY worse reasons
