Lauren Update!!!
Hello all,
I'm sorry I haven't posted an update on Lauren. I promise to be better about it! Lauren has settled into Pine lodge at Timberline Knolls. She's been working VERY hard and appreciates all the love, prayers, positive thoughts/vibes that you all are sending her way. She would like me to let you ALL know that she loves you and is sooooo thankful for everything! Lauren has been attending groups regularly as well as personal therapy sessions. Her bad days are rough and still she presses on. I've noticed a lot of progress, in fact, even though this is a difficult journey (to put it lightly) she's still giving it her all. There are some health and wellness struggles that I won't elaborate on because it's not for me to share, but she could really use any and all thoughts/prayers/positive vibes. Another big struggle is loneliness. Whether it's a few encouraging words, silly card, stupid jokes, or care package, she could use some support from all the people standing in her corner. Mail is ALWAYS appreciated. It's a way to reach out and remind her that she's not alone, even though we can't be physically present to remind her how much she is loved and supported! If you'd like to get ahold of her by phone let me know. She requested (even though she VERY MUCH appreciates and loves you all) that I let her know who would like to call her. Going through a program like this can leave people exhausted, and there may be times she would rather not talk on the phone or could be busy with a treatment matter.
Again, thank you all so much for EVERTHING. Your support means the world to Lauren, her family and me. Knowing that she is so loved is EXTREMELY encouraging and an amazing blessing!
