eve’s masterlist
Eve tapped the edge of her pencil against her lip as she read the information from her iPad. She was in the living room working on a school project. She had earphones in as she worked, listening to music on Melon. Since she had music blasting in her ears, she didn’t hear Kibum enter the apartment, only becoming aware of his presence when he put his hand on her shoulder.
She screamed, putting her hand over her chest as she removed the earphones. “Why are you trying to kill me?” Eve whined.
Kibum looked down at Eve with a blank expression. “I called your name five times,” he said. “But why are you home? Don’t you have training?”
Eve shook her head, leaning against the front of the couch. “There’s no training today.”

Word Count;; 1.3k
Genre;; Fluff, Humour(ish), F2Ls
Pairing;; Kibum x Reader
Summary;;
Your cross-country vacation has come to a grinding halt after an engine malfunction stranded you in the middle of literally nowhere. After spending a few nights in a -1 star motel, you and your best friend, Kibum, are going stir-crazy. All is fair in love and war, and you won’t go down without a fight, not when the most precious commodity is at stake: the frumpy bed and its hard mattress.
Warnings;;
Brief alcohol consumption (literally a sip of beer), playful banter, some flirtatious remarks, slightly suggestive content
Notes;;
Written for @kikisfuneralservice for the @superm-net fic exchange event! [DUDE I AM SO SORRY!! I didn’t realise this was due at the end of June. I thought I still had time. Totally spaced it. But I hope you enjoy it, and I’m glad you’re out here making content for SHINee, you’re a rockstar!!]
Main Masterlist
"It's Saturday night," Kibum groaned, plopping down on the couch beside you. "You're gonna spend the weekend holed up in this tiny motel room?"
"It only feels tiny because it's made for one person, not two."
He rolled his eyes. "Just because it has one bed doesn't mean it's made for one person. Ever heard of couples before?"
You didn't reply, choosing to instead kick your feet up on the coffee table. It shivered and creaked under your weight. Much like everything else inside the room it was on its last leg. In fact, most of the basic necessities were on the fritz. The refrigerator left your drinks warmer than they had been when you put them in, black spots plagued the television screen, and the showerhead pelted you with ice-cold water.
Then there was the air conditioner. Instead of a fresh breeze it pushed out stale air that clung to your clothes, leaving the stench of wet dog in its wake. No matter how much of Kibum's cologne you spritzed throughout the cramped quarters, mildew hung in the air. You'd given up by the second night.
"This might actually be hell," you whined.
I want to request 18, 40, and 103 from the choose your adventure list with Key from Shinee please? Thanks!
mr. sass-a-frass himself! comin' right up!
You grin as you tiptoe into the bedroom, seeing Key still laying in bed. It was early, and you knew he wasn’t going to be happy with you waking him up, but you really did not care. You pause as you watch him for a moment, before running and launching yourself at the bed.
Key screams and flails a bit as you land on him, sitting up with a hand on his chest. You instantly dissolve into laughter at his reaction and fall back onto the mattress. “Good morning, sunshine!” you greet through your giggles.
He looks at you with a confused look, clearly trying to calm his racing heart. “What the fuck?” he demands, once he realizes it’s just you.
You shift so you’re sitting cross legged on the bed, grinning brightly at him. “I have a surprise for you. It’s time to wake up,” you tell him, giving his arm a small tug as he lays back down.
He shoots you a look and shakes his head, pulling a pillow over his face. “It’s too early. Can’t it wait?”
“No. C’mon. I’ll cook you breakfast if you get up,” you goad, poking his ribs gently.
He doesn’t move for a moment, and you reach over to take the pillow off his face. You lean over and put your face close to his, raising your eyebrows at him. He serves you one of his classic sassy looks, and you laugh, pressing your lips to his in a quick kiss. “Morning,” you greet again, this time in a softer voice. “You’re cute when you’re sleepy.”
He sighs and rolls so he’s out from under you, rising to his feet at the side of the bed. “I need a drink. Is it too early for a screwdriver?” he asks, rubbing the back of his head tiredly.
You snort and shake your head, following after him as he leaves the bedroom. “It’s six o’clock in the morning. You’re not having vodka,” you chide, resting your hands on his waist as you walk.
“Well, a man’s gotta dream,” he yawns. He leads you into the kitchen and leans against the counter, watching you as you open the fridge. “What are you making me?”
You shrug and pull out eggs and some vegetables, along with some juice. “Eggs. I guess,” you reply, setting everything on the counter. “You don’t have anything else here. Are these eggs even good?”
“I don’t know. Only one way to find out.” He watches you for a moment, as you go about starting breakfast for the two of you, crossing his arms over his chest. He smiles a little as you start to hum. “You’re too cheerful this early,” he says as you crack an egg into the pan.
You shrug one shoulder as you add another egg, before glancing at him. “It’s a good day. I couldn’t sleep. And I have had copious amounts of coffee,” you answer with a laugh. “Oh, do you want coffee? Wait, do you even have coffee? That’s a dumb question, of course you do. I’ll get that going in a minute,” you ramble.
He lets out a laugh and shakes his head, moving to stand behind you. He turns you around and rests his hands on your shoulders. “Pump the brakes a little. I can make coffee later. I think you’ve had enough.” He pauses and leans around you, peeking at the pan. “Let’s go back to bed. Then I’ll make you lunch,” he offers, raising an eyebrow at you.
You press your lips into a thin line, before nodding slightly. “Alright. I’m probably going to crash in a few anyway,” you say. You turn back around and turn the burner off, setting the pan aside. You start to put everything away, before he stops you.
“It can wait. I’m tired,” he says as he starts to march you back to the bedroom. Both of you are silent as you make your way back, before he stops in the doorway with a confused look. “Wait, what’s my surprise?”
You let out a laugh as you crawl into bed, not answering as you curl up under the blanket.

pairing — lee taemin + kim kibum
word count — 554
genre — fluff
warnings — none
taemin had always had difficulty coping with lonesomeness, leaving him becoming a dull spirit. though, when a new kid moved into the vacant house next to his, he couldn’t help but feel slight joy in his heart.
one week after the family moved in, taemin noticed the new boy being in clear view from his bedroom window. at night, he would occasionally peer over to witness the boy dancing to faint music in his bedroom. this made taemin more eager to get to know this particular boy.
taemin came up with a clever plan. he took out a large notepad and a sharpie pen. he wrote the words, “HELLO STRANGER, MY NAME’S TAEMIN :)” in large print. taemin waited until he could see the boy from his window. he took a stray pencil he had laying around and threw it at the boy’s window, making a “thump” sound hitting the glass. the boy looked up in confusion and slight annoyance. taemin hurriedly grabbed his notepad and faced it towards the boy. the boy briefly smiled before scurrying to find a paper of his own to write on.
minutes later, the boy comes back with a crumpled piece of paper that read, “MY NAME IS KIBUM :D WHY DON’T WE GO OUTSIDE AND TALK. I DON’T HAVE A LOT OF PAPER...” taemin smiled at his response and gave him a quick thumbs up.
taemin sat outside on his porch in the cold in hopes of seeing kibum. just when taemin was about to get up and go back inside, he hears his name being called. “hey taemin there you are!” he looks up to see a fair-skinned figure standing over him with a cheesy grin on his face. taemin was in awe of the boy’s features, only able to let out a faint, “hello.” kibum sat next to him, visibly shivering. “aren’t you cold? you aren’t wearing a jacket and it’s nearly freezing.” taemin knew the answer to his question, but he genuinely didn’t know what else to say. he took off the jacket he had, carefully resting it on kibum’s shoulders. “oh look, now you’re going to get cold you loser.” taemin was left surprised. did he not want his offer? there was a short moment of silence. kibum rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around taemin, making sure he shared the warmth the jacket provided.
taemin couldn’t hold in his emotions, he smiled at kibum, gums visible and all. “i kind of like being like this, very cozy,” kibum spoke up. taemin nodded as for he was unable to form proper sentences at the moment. the breeze began to pick up and the jacket was no longer able to keep the two of them warm.
“i have to go back home now, taemin, it’s getting a little too cold and my pretty face might crack.” kibum used his hands to frame his face, emphasizing his statement. his face really was pretty, taemin thought. “i hope i can see you around sometime soon, kibum.” kibum shot one last smile as he quickly ran back to his house.
taemin sat on his bed grinning to himself about the interaction he had with kibum. there was just one thing particular thing that he couldn’t stop thinking about.
“i forgot to ask for my jacket back.”
What SHINee Does For Your Birthday
requests are encouraged. please read the guidelines before submitting your request!
requested by our shinee anon
Note: Ash wrote all of these, but Mochi came up with almost all of the ideas. That’s why they call us a creative duo lol. Onew’s is probably the longest but that’s bc we’re weak for his comedic storylines lol
Jinki
Like an angel, when Jinki asked what you wanted for your birthday, you responded that you had everything you needed to be happy. Jinki smiled at your answer, but he was determined to do something special for you.
When he consulted the internet and then his friends, the general consensus was that handmade gifts were the best way to move your heart.
Perhaps Jinki should have accepted Taemin’s suggestion less eagerly.
“Have you heard about those painting classes where you drink wine and follow what the instructor does?” Taemin asked excitedly.
Jinki hadn’t heard about that, and he couldn’t understand why Taemin had, but he figured that you would be happy to receive something that he painted himself.
He wasn’t too embarrassed about being one of the only two men in a studio full of middle-aged women. However, a humiliated blush did stain his entire face about half an hour into the class when Taemin slid off his chair and onto the floor.
Maybe the older women were too engrossed in their own conversations or maybe they were too polite to gawk at Taemin. Nonetheless, Jinki failed to suppress his laughter as he watched Taemin rise to his feet unsteadily.
“Are you okay?”
All Taemin said in response was, “The wine is good.” Then, as he studied Jinki’s canvas, Taemin complimented, “Hey, that looks really good! Better than mine, at least—” Taemin gestured to his own work: a single sloppy red line.
“Just sit down,” Jinki said gently, noticing that the instructor was eyeing Taemin instead of continuing with the class.
To take the edge off of his mounting embarrassment, Jinki took a sip of his wine. Instantly, he spat it out, just narrowly missing his canvas. Glancing at Taemin judgmentally, Jinki hissed, “You think this is good? It’s horrible!”
Taemin scratched at the back of his neck as he reddened. “Oh— yeah, well, I thought your cup of wine was my bucket of water so I cleaned my brush in it.”
Jinki turned to fully face Taemin. He kept his voice an even whisper to avoid distracting everyone else. “And you didn’t bother to tell me?”
“At the moment, it didn’t seem that important,” Taemin shrugged. Then, recognizing Jinki’s rare glare, Taemin stuttered an excuse. “Plus, you looked really focused, and I didn’t want to bother you.”
As he blinked at Taemin, Jinki wondered if this was karma for ruining Minho’s anniversary. The karma wasn’t fully realized, however, until a week later when you opened your birthday present.
“Oh,” you said as you looked at a single red line— if it could really be called a line— on a canvas. Despite your confusion at the gift and Jinki’s bewildered expression, you smiled and began, “Thank—”
“That’s not the right thing,” Jinki blurted before seizing the canvas and scowling at it. “That’s Taemin’s. When I took him home after that class, I must have gotten our paintings mixed up—”
Because you had never seen Jinki so panicked, your mind raced to consider ways to make him feel better, and you ignored the urge to ask for more details about the painting class wherein Taemin— perfect Taemin— managed to produce such an odd piece of art.
You decided to interrupt Jinki’s rambling. “Wait, so Taemin did this? You know— there are tons of people would pay thousands, maybe even millions of dollars to own this. Why don’t we sell it and go on vacation?”
And when Jinki laughed at your suggestion, you realized that was the best present you could have received.
Jonghyun
Jonghyun might have gone overboard with his gifts for your birthday. After the showered you with countless flowers-- enough to make large bouquets for every room in the house-- he urged you to change out of your pajamas.
"Hurry, Y/N," he rushed you to finish eating the last pancake he made for you. "We gotta go to the studio!"
Jonghyun raced to the studio almost every day; that was a fact of life you had long accepted, so you hadn't expected your birthday to be an exception.
Still groggy and intent upon rolling over under the covers after breakfast, you grumbled through your mouthful of food, "Why do I have to go?"
Initially, Jonghyun whined at your reluctance to follow his meticulous plan to demonstrate his love for you. But when he turned away from your closet, holding your potential outfit, Jonghyun smiled at your childlike appearance.
As he laid your clothes out on the bed in front of you, he softly explained, "Because I'm recording something for you today. It would be really special for you to be there."
You didn't require much convincing when Jonghyun smiled at you like that. Once your drowsiness wore off, you were all too happy to follow Jonghyun’s plans for the day.
Key
You tried to brush it off when Kibum responded, "Oh, is that today?" when you texted him about your plans to celebrate your birthday by having lunch with your friends at some nearby restaurant.
You knew Key well enough to understand that he probably didn't mean to sound so uninterested. And although you understood that you hadn't been dating long-- only a few months-- and that you only briefly mentioned your upcoming birthday last week, you were disappointed that he didn't remember.
Still, you made the effort to cast those negative feelings aside as you accepted his invitation to have dinner at his place. You agreed to meet him at your favorite place: the rooftop of his apartment building, where you often spent hours watching the stars while talking about anything and everything.
It was surprising to find Jinki, Minho, and Taemin up there, too, wearing aprons-- Jonghyun humming into a microphone-- and Key sitting at a table set for two, scrolling through his phone.
Before they noticed you, you heard Minho brag, "I know how we can make things more entertaining while we wait," as he balanced a food tray on his head. "We should race to see who gets to the table first with the food on their head."
While Jinki laughed and attempted to balance his tray, Taemin timidly glanced at Kibum. He whispered as if trying to avoid attracting his attention, "But Key told us not to play around--"
Taemin was interrupted by Jonghyun's excited cheer. "Yah!" he pointed at you, announcing, "Y/N's here!"
Somewhat embarrassed by the attention, you avoided the guys' stares as you set toward Kibum. Unable to conceal your smile, you asked, "What is this? I thought you forgot about my birthday--"
"You really believed I forgot?" Key laughed. Then, with a soft smile he explained, "I only said that so you wouldn't catch on to this surprise."
Minho
When Jinki offered to help Minho with your birthday gift, Minho was reluctant to accept.
"You already stole my reservations," Minho reminded somewhat playfully. "Now are you trying to steal Y/N?"
"What? No!" Jinki blushed at the accusation; it was likely this reaction that encouraged Minho to continue teasing him. Nonetheless, Jinki stuttered, "No, I just-- recently, Taemin ruined my girlfriend's birthday present. He didn't mean to, so I can't be mad, but made me realize how bad you must have felt when I ruined your anniversary."
Unsure of how to react to such an authentic apology, Minho hummed, "Oh," and he didn't think to ask what happened with Taemin.
"So I made reservations at that restaurant," Jinki said. "Just give them my name, and you should get in without a problem."
And you thought it was odd that after Minho proudly escorted you to that familiar fancy restaurant, he gave the name "Jinki" to the hostess. You reasoned that it was likely related to the Anniversary fiasco.
Because you were happy to see Minho smile at the chaotic memory for the first time, you decided not to ask about it. Instead, you said, "Thank you for bringing me here."
You mirrored Minho's smile when he said, "Happy Birthday, Y/N. I'm glad I get to have this memory with you after all."
Taemin
Taemin wanted to make your first birthday in your shared apartment to be special. In the early morning, while you were still asleep, he set his plan into motion.
Careful not to wake you, Taemin tiptoed to his closet where he pulled photographs off of the top shelf and delicately eased out already inflated balloons.
He sat on the floor at the foot of the bed to work on attaching the pictures to the balloons' strings. At the start of the task, the moon was hung high, but by the time he finally finished, the sun was rising; this was partially because of how many pictures he'd printed, but mostly because he kept getting distracted.
Here was the picture you'd taken the day you met after Minho brought you to practice because you were desperate to watch your brother at work. The memory was years old, and much had changed since then, but just recalling it-- how politely you'd watched everyone perform, how you'd erupted in applause at the end, how you smiled as you asked for a picture with everybody-- made Taemin's heart race just as it had that day.
There was the picture you took that time you hid from everyone else backstage because neither of you wanted an audience for your first kiss, but neither of you could wait for another opportunity. You hadn't captured the kiss on film, but you did snap a remarkable shot of Jonghyun's slackjawed expression upon finding you in Taemin's dressing room. Although Taemin could do nothing but blush around Jonghyun at the time, now he could barely contain his laughter as he remembered that moment.
And here, still in his hands, was the most recent picture. It was taken on your trip to Disneyland with Minho and his girlfriend, sometime after your relationship had been discovered, and sometime after Minho had given his official blessing. Taemin couldn't stop staring at it because it marked the first time he felt like a part of your family.
When you woke up, Taemin was sure to photograph your reaction to his surprise so he could remember the way you smiled at him forever.
And Always
Hi! If it isn't too much to ask, could I request something along the lines of a Small Town Friends-to-Lovers AU with Key? I'd prefer fluff but I'm sure anything you write will be great!
Of course, anon! It’s definitely not too much to ask, and I hope you like what I came up with!
Genre: Small Town!AU/Friends to Lovers
Pairing: Key x You
Warnings: None
Words: 2,374
“Hi, Marie,” you grinned as you stepped into the ice cream shop, holding the door open for your best friend behind you.
“Hey, you two,” Marie replied with a friendly smile. “Just let me know when you’re ready to order.”
Key let out a sort of frustrated huff behind you, but you didn’t turn around to look at him. You didn’t want to give him the satisfaction right now.
“You can’t just distract me with ice cream,” he said in pointed tones.
“I can, and I am,” you told him casually, your eyes scanning the menu above the counter. You knew exactly what you wanted, of course, since you’d been coming here for years... but you still didn’t want to make eye contact with Key, so perusing your ice cream options was your only choice.
[11:33]
you always had fun when you went on shopping trips with kibum. today though, you were in an especially giddy mood, causing you to be a little hyperactive. key, on the other hand, was not as happy. he had not gotten a lot of sleep the night before due to his schedule.
you skip happily into the grocery store with key following behind you, pushing the cart with the hood of his hoodie over his head.
“i don’t understand why we have to this so early,” you hear him mutter as he looks over the extensive list.
you turn around to face him and laugh, “it’s 11:30 in the morning; it’s hardly early.”
he glares at you through his lashes as he pushes the cart towards the fruit section.
as he’s grabbing various fruits, you wander over to the apples. you grab one and toss it back and forth between your hands a few times before calling over to your boyfriend.
“hey kibum!”
“hm?” he glances over at you, putting a bag of peaches into the cart.
you lift the apple to one of your eyes and smile, “you’re the apple of my eye.”
he rolls his eyes and simply turns away, pushing the cart off to another aisle. you pout slightly and grab a bag, tossing a few more apples into it before running to catch up with him.
you set the bag of apples down in the cart as key shuffles over to the dairy aisle to grab milk. you quickly look around for some more food to make puns out of. giggling to yourself, you grab a block of cheese and some whipped cream.
“kibum!”
“what is it now, y/n?” he looks over at you expectantly.
you walk towards him and say, “not to be too cheesy or anything, but i think i’m whipped for you.”
he sighs softly and rubs his face tiredly. grabbing a gallon of milk, he mumbles, “i really think that you’re milking these puns a little too much.”
you laugh happily and walk over to him. you suddenly take your hand in his and lean against him. key lowers his head, his hood blocking your view of his face, so you can’t see the small smile that’s spread across his sleepy features.
