(4/4) ok but imagine amateur NSP music videos made by the kids. Barry and Kevin doing camera work, Arin and Ross are just there as extras in every video, Suzy and Holly make costumes and props... that's all my ideas/questions for now but I might think of more later

And the baby NSP music videos are always fun! Danny and Brian write all their songs in Danny’s Really Cool Dinosaur Notebook because it’s the coolest one he has and he’s only gonna use it for really cool stuff. Some of their songs are written in really bright crayola markers too.

Arin likes to help Suzy do Arin’s hair because that is NOT a one person job and Arin’s a master of hairclips. Holly made the original Danny Sexbang outfit and Ninja Brian’s shirt with the dragon design on it. Suzy helped her with the symbol in the middle of the shirt because Suzy had seen it in a 4kids Anime one time on one of the signs in the background. (I’m pretty sure I looked it up one time and the symbol just means like “book” or something? I might be wrong though so don’t quote me on that haha).

Barry does a lot of the directing, but he uses Ross as his voice because Barry is naturally really quiet. So Barry will whisper something to Ross and Ross will cup his hands around his mouth and just SCREAM IT to everyone else. He loves his job very much. Also their camera is a shitty camcorder that Jack let them have because he was going to throw it out anyway so who cares if it gets broken. He did not ask them beforehand what they were going to shoot, so when he sees the final NSP video all about boning he and Vernon will be Very Surprised.

They take the tapes to school and play it for their friends/classmates and it’s so dirty and taboo that the kids Love It and that’s how Danny and Brian accidentally start a black market business of selling their music videos on the playground.

(1/4) ok here we go way too many Kidgrumps asks. if these are too much you can like… store them for the long winter and answer one per month. First one: Do the kids still have emotional baggage from their lives before adoption? Were they old enough to remember? Does anyone go to therapy or do they just sorta collectively repress the memories with constant sibling hug piles?

Yes, the kids absolutely still have emotional baggage. Some of them more than others. I don’t exactly remember the (really angsty) original families that we figured out put them up for adoption, but I remember that Barry, at least, had to be put up for adoption because CPS took him away from his parents. And that’s also why he’s selectively mute.

Some of them weren’t old enough to remember, like Ross, so all he ever knew was the orphanage, which made him one of the least upset ones. But he was also really really affected the night the orphanage burned down because it was the only home he’d ever known. (I think his mom gave him up because she was on the run from the government and had escaped Australia and came to the US).

I feel like at first, when Vernon and Jack take them all in, they don’t realize how bad the kids actually have it, because a lot of them are still happy go lucky and really sweet and friendly. But after a while they kinda catch on to the fact that these kids are Not Okay and will put them in therapy (if they want it), but at first they all just kinda deal with it together because that’s what they’ve always done so why do anything different now.

(2/4) Do the kids have friends outside of the family, or are they all just sort of outcasts? Maybe this is where Matt and Ryan fit into the KG lore?

They’re all sorta outcasts, but I imagine they do have friends outside of their little family unit! I don’t know much about Matt and Ryan so I never really included them, but I’m sure they could be friends with the kids! I won’t be able to supply much in the way of headcanons for them as kids, though, because I just don’t know much haha

Kid grumps Danny Sexbang is probably a teen who thinks he's cool. He's bouncy and hyper and unfocused, and loves music and coming up with obscure pick up lines. However, he's obsessed with ninjas, and maybe one quiet kid as well...

I was thinking he was gonna be the same age as Dan (so like 9) but that’s!!! even better tbh!!! Because now I’m just thinking that like, he babysits the kid grumps sometimes and he’s like an awkward 13 year old boy that loves space and ninjas and probably makes his own crudely drawn comics/short stories.

But he’s also this total sweetiepie that’s a little irresponsible but cares about the lil kiddos he babysits a lot and is really patient and good with them. I just really like this idea oml.

Gosh, little Danny Sexbang who thinks he's the shit, is all rambunctious and all that, but he's also very silly and loving and a sweet heart with, mostly innocent intentions. Once he learns the wonder of the Internet though....... SPACE VIDEOS, SPAAAAAAACE
