Arthur calls him a daffodil and Merlin laughs. “You look like a startled stoat,” Arthur complains, and Merlin glances sidelong at him with eyes that look strangely yellowish in the sun. “You’re such a girl’s—” “—Blouse, I know,” Merlin says, and grins, canines glinting wickedly in the low light of the fireplace. It’s only when Arthur finds out that Merlin is a bloody dragon that everything clicks into place. * OR: The fic where I get to smash all my favorite dragon!Merlin tropes into one frankenstein of a fic xD

i adore dragon!merlin so much you don’t understand. and everyone’s characterisations in this fic is really well done.
3. After the Blood Rain by sam_i_am_writes
Court Sorcerer Merlin turns into a cloud and rains blood upon the enemies of Camelot to avoid bloodshed. Unfortunately, he has trouble turning back into a person afterwards and has to endure Arthur's angry rant about his recklessness in cloud-form. Concerned ranting and fluff ensue.
