OK but following the Joker Junior concept where Tim becomes JJ very early on in his career.....
The joker in Kidworld in Young Justice 98 is Tim, as Joker Junior.
His biggest fear, the thing he thinks will defeat him- is himself.
It's why being constantly asked why got on JJ's nerves; Tim would get soooo frustrated. Joker..maybe but honestly I think less so.
I think the young joker is actually Tim’s image of himself as JJ- and that's part of the fear, that he himself is JJ, that he can not escape is not good enough to be Robin because he will always be, in part, Joker Junior, the second coming of Joker.
It's also why JJ could be trapped, 'real' in kid world and is seen as a kid rather than as an adult; it's because JJ is Tim, and Tim is a kid. He can't escape himself and that's partly what makes JJ so scary, even trapped on the otherside of a glass; JJ will always be and is, part of Tim. Hidden behind glass in a neat little box, sure, but the sound comes out, and Tim can't run away.
But his friends, in contrast, can deal with Joker Junior. Whereas for Tim, JJ is a weakness, a part of himself he can not but wishes to escape, for Bart, he is merely an obstacle in the way of keeping Tim happy and safe- an easily overcome obstacle, in ways that won't hurt Tim. Frustrate him, perhaps.
