In a recent awakening of her new dream, Sarada wanted to take necessary steps in order to better herself as a ninja. Knowing how diligent Shino was in observing their class, she was optimistic that he could help her.

       the young yamanaka heir was bent over a dead fish, hands glowing green as he sat in the park, letting out struggling noises as he tried in vain to bring it back to life with his medical ninjutsu his mother and sakura had been teaching him. he was so focused on his training he hadn’t even realized his teacher coming up behind him, an odd thing for him. he turned, teal eyes widening as the elder’s shadow came into view.

A city still learning how to live outside of wartime was a city that frequently demanded its shinobi embark on short term missions, like some kind of peace keepers. Being a floater between ANBU and chūnin work meant that Sai was infrequently paired up with those that complimented his skills for the purposes of any given mission. On this particular outing…well, Sai had suggested that the mission was below his rank, and was finished well ahead of schedule. Idle hands were mischief’s playground, or so the saying went...

“ Say, Shino, ”         Sai had been watching the other shinobi unannounced for some time now, and made his presence known by calling out from the tree he had climbed. “ Your glasses...they’re harder to get right than I thought they would be. ”

                                   ❛    THIS  REALITY  IS   no  longer  worth  fighting  for  !!    ❜    he  spits,  eyes  breaking  though  walls;  yet  the  world  around  him  is  QUIET.  obito  exhaling  slowly,  hands  balling  themselves  into  fists  before  reaching  over  to  grab  hold  of  his  larger  shurikan;  the  overlaying  threat  of  him  simply  throwing  it  toward  the  larger  crowd.

        -- ❝ y’know, you could use being a more SOCIABLE. you, uh, hide away a lot. ❞ it was one of the first few times he’s actually seen the guy since the chunin exams-- & really, it wasn’t exactly the happiest day of his life. hell simply remembering the event & their battle sent a shiver up his spine ( he still had nightmares to this day of the SWARM that had surrounded him ). the small comment, while an attempt to break the ice, was meant more for himself than for the other, trying to push away the uninvited thoughts.

        -- ❝ i get it if y’don’t wanna be more sociable with me per say, but i don’t think we can get this mission done with the good ol’ silence treatment. ❞

         -- ❝ woah !! ❞ the exclamation comes out LOUD, feet halting mid run & skidding slightly from the sudden break, momentum causing for him to slide a tad before he fully coming to a stop. eyes & smile widen at the sight before him, the singular word, ❝ bees !! ❞ escaping him before he could stop himself ( not that he would even if he could, mind you ). ❝ that’s a LOT of bees !!! ❞

        & saying ‘ a lot ‘ was an understatement. in fact, there were probably TOO many ( it was actually his first time seeing that many in a singular spot ) buzzing & flying around in circles. the carpenter wasted no time in approaching the other, grin wide as he speaks, ❝ there’s a bunch’a bees !! are they pollut--polluting ? no, wait-- politic ? pollitioning-- yeah !! are they pollitioning ? that’s so COOL !! ❞

Shino knew that Kankurou was a busy man (as was he), but it was rare that they were able to spent occasions like birthdays together. Which made this one all the more important. Elaborate scheme already set in place with the assistance from Kiba and the Kazekage, Kankurou was none the wiser to Shino's arrival in Sunagakure. He'd let himself into Kankurou's home already knowing the puppeteer wouldn't be there and set about preparing for his beloved's arrival.

        he REALLY should’ve seen it coming-- he had played a much similar scheme on shino’s own birthday, to not even acknowledge that the favour could’ve been returned one day was totally his fault. the pupeteer’d been so busy on the past couple days, he’d totally FORGOTTEN what date had been crawling up. it was only until his sibs brought it up, had congratulated him for his birthday, that he’d remembered.

        he should’ve had an inkling the moment tem had offered to cover for him, giving him more time for himself on this special day. he should’ve noticed it when gaara had avoided all subjects concerning konoha during the upcoming days ( & in turn, distracting him from the nature of the surprise ). but it was better that he hadn’t-- for the absolute bliss & joy that emerged the moment he came home & spotted his boyfriend ( the very same one he hadn’t seen in MONTHS ) inside his house wouldn’t have been as large otherwise. all plans he’d been making for himself on his walk home were INSTANTLY discarded as his pace sped up, lips breaking into a grin as his arms wrapped around his lover in an almost suffocating embrace, unable to stop the laughter that bubbled up from inside him. ❝ pfft-- ha ha ! ! ah man, i guess i’m HOME ! ❞
