I like writing them domestic and gay so drabbles
Killian flips the page idly, he's read this book probably a thousand times before yet he keeps coming back to it. What can he say? It's a good book. He reaches over to pet Brad's hair but finds a plush instead. It's a giant plush of a wolf Killian sees Brad snuggling everytime Brad goes to bed before him. He's not jealous of a wolf plushie, he's not, what are you talking about?
Brad always gets to bed before Killian on account of morning excersize. It's one of the downsides of being married to a jock. It keeps Killian from sleeping in while being held in the arms of a himbo. Killian will have to be mean to Brad's coach in his mind. Well, that's not the point, the point is where is Brad?
Killian looks over to where a dog usually lays to find the space empty. He sighs and gets out of the bed. He trudges over to the front door and pulls it open. He squints out into the dark outside before remembering he has glasses and putting them on. Brad and their dog round the curb, Brad's chatting with the dog as the dog wags her tail.
"Brad Winters." Killian says as he leans against the door frame.
Brad stops in his tracks, "h-hey honey, I thought you'd be asleep by now."
"No. I thought you'd be cuddling me in bed by now."
"Oh, she wanted a midnight walk." Brad says sheepishly, gesturing toward the dog.
The dog barks in response and wags her tail. Killian tries his best to look annoyed but fails and a fond smile spreads across his face. The dog bounds up to Killian and demands pets which Killian happily obliges. Brad gives the dog some scritches as well then the dog happily trots inside, presumably on her way to steal the best spot in the bed. Killian follows, pulling Brad along for cuddling.
Brad flops down on the couch and flips through the channels, there's a documentary about the Titanic on. He turns it on and it practically summons Killian, who lays down on top of Brad. Brad rubs Killian's back in small circles as they watch mainly silently but talking occasionally. Killian nuzzles into the crook of Brad's neck and runs his finger through Brad's hair idly.
"You're cute for a jock." Killian says mischievously as if all he wants to do in the moment is to bother Brad.
"Oh yeah, I suppose most jocks don't do this so they can't be cute." Brad then takes Killian's face in his hands and nuzzles their faces together in an approximation of a kiss but not a kiss.
This in turn flusters Killian which makes him nuzzle deeper into Brad's neck to avoid eye contact. Brad laughs at this as Killian mutters an embarrassed half-serious demand to shut up. Brad tries to stifle his laughter in response.
"You're lucky you're cute." says Killian, still hiding his face.
"I would have to say the same for you."
Killian groans in response, clearly not able to think of a good mischievous response to Brad's words of affection. They continue watching the Titanic documentary and Killian slowly comes out of his hidning spot to rest his head on Brad's chest.
Brad turns around to respond but before he can he gets a dollop of icing on the nose.
He wipes it off and hears his partner giggling. Killian's laugh is so pure and cute, it makes Brad's heart melt.
"You wanna play dirty, do you?" Brad says quietly before asking innocently if he can touch Killian.
Killian agrees and Brad grabs Killian's face and holds it gently. Killian leans into the touch. When Brad removes his hands the frosting on them has been transferred to Killian's cheeks.
"Frosting is a good look on you." Brad says smugly.
Killian tries his best to look angry but Brad's smirk makes Killian smile. It then makes blush rush to his face. Killian folds his arms and huffs to try and save this angry act. Brad just laughs at it and Killian groans.
"I do, for some unexplainable reason, I do."
Brad takes this opportunity to clean off his frosting covered hand in the sink. Killian cleans the frosting off his face by licking it off his hand.
"Does it even taste good." Brad asks.
"What? The frosting? Yeah, it's great."
"That's a relief. I worried it was too sugary."
"The only thing too sugary is your smile." Killian says.
Killian doesn't hear a witty or flirty response on Brad's end so turns to face his partner. His partner is blushing very hard. Killian honestly didn't think a comment as small as that would really do any damage but Brad can get flustered easily.
Killian pushes himself off the kitchen counter and gently takes Brad's hands in his. Brad still can't make eye contact and Killian finds it incredibly cute. Being with Brad and not another goth or hipster has benefits like that, making seemingly mundane things incredibly cute or sweet. Killian loves this himbo.
"Hey~ Hey darlin'~" Killian calls teasingly to Brad to see just how red he can make Brad's face.
"I'm supposed to be the one that makes you flustered, not the other way around." Brad mumbles.
"Oh yeah? Well, I think this way is good too." Killian says before wrapping his arms around Brad's neck.
Brad sighs a defeated sigh before nuzzling into the crook of his partner's neck. Killian coos at this movement and pets his darling's hair.
