This picture, a scene out of the movie, the Butler, contains American history; periods when blacks are not allowed to eat at the same restaurant with the whites. It draws us back to Klinger as she argues that “Hollywood is history.” The movie, The Butler, does not only contain history but tells American history from the farm to the White House. The 2013 movie seems to connect with Klinger’s idea of film narration. “[H]istory is directly expressed in film narratives, presents the past”
