Manifesting Kitty not feeling anything for Minho. Like, at MOST, she feels kind of flattered and validated that someone is into her but first and foremost, he is Minho (or rather, Poopy Baby) and she can't bring herself to use him because... come ON. And Minho has to grapple with his privilege and apologise for being shitty to Dae.
Rewatching XO Kitty and I really appreciate how S1E1 shows Dae's similarity to Kitty. The way he acts when he gets an extension for his school fees and tries to get a job as a TA is very similar to her own attitude trying to make friends and get to KISS. If it weren't for the fake-dating contract he agreed to at the last minute, he definitely would've been on her wavelength the whole semester. The sweetest boy ever, only doomed by virtue of being her first love.
Okay, I've been too busy to watch XO, Kitty S2 but Q takes Dae to a gay club to help him get over Kitty... because straight girls go there to avoid 'cishet meatheads'???
Yes, straight people do go to gay clubs for various reasons. But uncritically saying that gay clubs have plenty of woman who are straight and could be into the right type of guy is such a weird thing to say.
And this isn't just me saying that about Q, I'm talking to the writers. It's not enough to have a lesbian couple who clearly aren't interested because 1) you still gave Dae a girl who was interested in him and 2) you had the three of them - yes, including the aforementioned couple - be interested in hanging out with him! You made a straight guy a hot commodity for girls in a gay club! You rewarded a character for bringing a straight guy to a gay club to hit on girls! Fuck you!
me looking at Dae through the entire show: If I took a meat cleaver down the center of your skull, I'd have matching halves. That's very important.
Seven was honestly sort of a wild choice of song from Dae, and I love that for him
