I cannot wait to drop my kids at daycare at the crack of dawn when I have shit all to do that day and leave them there for 12+ hours.

When you wake up at someone else's house....
after a party and you have to pretend that you're not starving.

Confession: Good Charlotte's Riot Girl
"Christina, wouldn't wanna meet her She hates you Britney so you better run for cover"
This lyric always bothered me about the song Riot Girl by Good Charlotte. I was a pop punk kind of kid and Britney and Christina didn't threaten or anger me. Even though I wasn't interested in skimpy clothes or makeup why should I judge them for their choices? In my opinion they played well to their intended audience and seemed to genuinely be girly girl types.
What did offend me was girl singers who put on the pop punk / hardcore image and clearly were doing it as a marketing ploy. You sing the same pop music and put on the same amount of makeup but do it in a way as to mirror the lifestyle we were leading. 12 year olds from Napanee, Ontario who win Shania Twain karaoke contests sure are hardcore.
I digress, however my original point being that I felt that Riot Girl made girls living within the stereotype of "punk rocker" in the early 2000's look incredibly judgmental, intolerant and shallow. Never mind the fact that GC seemed to entirely misrepresent what an actual riot girl might look and behave like.
