Shortly after this presentation was published, I was lucky enough to stumble upon it. It’s very inspiring, especially if you are worried about failing, or are convinced you can’t create anything worth while. It really helped me on my journey, and in 2015 I started a ‘yearofmaking’. The point was to make something, anything, on a daily basis. Well, I fell off that bandwagon, several times, actually, Lol. I had days where I was discouraged - and those are the days where it’s so important that we push through! Obviously, I couldn’t push through some of them, and that’s ok. It happens. I would tell myself, ‘no one wants to see what I’m creating’ - pssssh... Really? Why do I care if someone wants or doesn’t want to see it? I shouldn’t, and as my confidence gains, I’m coming around to caring less about what other people think about what I create.
So, I’m determined. I am going to re-start (for easily the dozenth time) my yearofmaking. No excuses, no worried about what other people think. This. Is. It.
