The Turtles will try to get Splinter back in his body and Pimiko will finally face her father in the final battle of this long awaited conclusion.

I feel like Modeen did a better job in two issues than Carlson in three. These last issues were filled with exposition and very anti-climatic endings.

Does it try to connect with Volume 4? I can see the connection there... I cannot think of a plot that couldn’t make sense. Even if it isn’t canon.

Still, this story could have been done in five issues instead of three, giving enough space to the different battles and separating the villains (as their goals didn’t seem to connect much). Splinter’s arc conclusion is also sloppy.

The art didn’t help, but it is the style of the book, so I will give it a pass.

It’s lifeless, that’s what it is. Pimiko, King Komodo and his brother, Lady Shredder... they are barely there. It’s like they are representing the characters they are, but they are not them. This story was rushed and there were no reasons for it. They could have done 30 issues of Urban Legends with all the story they had. Anyway, at least we get an official conclusion for volume three.
