Crowing the Southeast King of Catch Wrestling!
Sorry to be a bit behind on this, but if you had not already heard, Curran Jacobs of CWA challenged current King of Catch West Coast Champ, Travis Newaza to a Catch match. Love the open challenge. Not a fan of imposing the "no strangle-hold" rule. I understand Catch As Catch Can matches often did impose that rule back in the day, but personally I think all submissions should be legal. Asking for limited submissions would be like a BJJ guy asking for no pins. What I like about Catch is it (in theory at least) being a level playing field for all grapplers. No points, all submissions, pinfalls(recognizes wrestling) but with a 3 second count, which is more than enough time for a good BJJ guy to get a shoulder up. I would rather see it kept fair all the way around.
