A branch of Midland Bank stood at the head of the block which later went on to become a fast-food takeaway.
The Regent cinema can be seen to the right in the distance of all photo's. Today it exists as an antiques centre after being a Bingo hall, Snooker & Pool hall and a retro cinema.
