Send me “Ours” for a drabble of our muses raising a child
Two kingdoms were made one, the moment their eyes laid upon each other. And the future of these two united kingdoms was now at the hands of the little bundle at Snow’s arms.
The high-pitched cries of an infant echoed through the halls of the castle, once the prince of Camelot greeted the world. Tired smiles of pure bliss painted upon the face of Snow. At that moment, she wanted so much to cry and as she looked up at Arthur, love is the only thing which can be seen in her gaze.
❝Look at him Arthur… He’s beautiful. There’s so much hope in him.❞ Moistened eyes looked upon the King and back to the little tyke in her arms. Everyone surrounding them felt the happiness of which the King and the Queen were feeling. Now the castle will be much brighter than it is already.
❝Well, this calls for a gathering. Everyone is to prepare for our grand festivities tonight… And you, my dearest and our little prince should take all the rest you need. I’ll be here with the both of you. Important matters will be postponed for now.❞; Arthur assured his family. With that, it made Snow’s tired smile brighter. ❝Thank you Arthur, I can never really imagine myself not having you in my life… And now we have our son.❞ Now she also has the family she had ever wanted and she can never ask anything anymore.
But it doesn’t mean difficulties come, even if it’s something the heart desires the most.
At first, the fairest queen of Camelot was very much hesitant to take care of the little future king. Despite her maternal instincts always at its peak, Snow still sees herself as an inadequate mother. If not for Arthur’s loving support, she might still have seen herself as someone who can’t really be a mother.
How thankful she is for her king… for he has always been by her side…
Days, weeks, months and years passed by, Snow became the mother that she ought to be. Clarion also started to grow up as sharp as his father and as fair as his mother. The future king is growing up balanced—strong and compassionate—just like his parents. Snow would teach him of values of the world and religion, while Arthur would teach him values of leadership and knighthood.
Clarion was loved so much that he was able to extend to others.
❝I can see peace and prosperity ahead of Camelot, Arthur. Clarion, he will be as great of a king as you are. And Camelot will live long enough to be known by many generations.❞ Snow told her king as she watched their little tyke compete.
❝Yes, that he will be…❞ Arthur assured her.
