Tagged by rabbits-of-negative-euphoria!
Rule 1: Always post the rules.
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to the post.
Rule 4: Actually tell people you’ve tagged them.
(Bleh, I don't like rules.)
1. To what cities/states/countries have you traveled? Can I take this as largish/important cities I acted like a tourist in? Florida: Orlando, Miami, St. Augustine, Key Largo (city? whatever), Islamorada, Key West; St. Louis, Cleveland, Chicago, Colorado: Denver, Fruita, Grand Junction, Telluride, Estes Park, Crested Butte; Moab (Utah), Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, Antietam (Maryland)... I give up.
2. What occupation would you like to have? Ideally, I'd like to be a published author and a stay-at-home mother/housewife after teaching English for a while.
3. At what point does being a fangirl go from relatable to downright creepy? Right when it goes from being a geek to a fangirl. Geek is appreciating fun stuff, discussing it, and using it as entertainment and furthering of your critical thinking. Fangirl is losing coherency, ignoring real life, thinking inappropriately of the fun stuff, and appropriating another's work for their own ideas. (This is an excellent question, btw.)
4. Who are your three favorite 21st century authors? Cornelia Funke, Hiromu Arakawa, and maybe Rick Riordan.
5. What is the oldest book you have read (the Bible doesn’t count)? I read all but the last few pages of Romeo and Juliet. Maybe Sense and Sensibility then.
6. How would you describe your personality (if you know about MBTI, you can answer with your type)? ISTJ--duty-bound, logical, detail-oriented, rather apathetic.
7. Marvel or DC? Marvel!
8. Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch? Tom.
9. What is your favorite kind of sandwich? I really love Subway's Spicy Italian.
10. Do you have any pets? If so, talk about them. *unleashes the kraken* I have a ginger cat named Teddy who's very soft, affectionate, playful, and loves food a lot. // My Boston terrier is Jack (for Jack Sparrow) and he's very small for his breed (only like 23 pounds). He likes walks and completely ignores us while we walk, but he can't go for too long because his kneecaps are weird and he could get hurt if he exercises for too long. His playing is him on his back wiggling back and forth and snorting. He has terrible gas and won't eat until Ranger does. // Ranger (his real name is Aragorn) is a German shepherd who weighed 85 pounds last time we checked. He's scared of other dogs and barks at them but isn't aggressive, he has a Kong toy he loves and will fetch if you say its name, he collects our shoes and keeps them in his crate; he needs daily walks on a chain leash and prong collar because he breaks everything else, but he walks with the leash in his mouth and he weaves a lot. // Sawyer is the baby--a 10-pound black Havanese that is the most well-behaved lap dog I've ever seen. He's named after a LOST character that none of us even like anymore. He imprinted on me, so he squeals if I leave him in the car alone for a few minutes. Carrots are his favorite food and the little guy would walk until his legs wore down if we let him. When it's time to come in from the walk, he leans away from us and tries to go on alone so we have to carry him in. He also wakes me up in the morning by laying on my chest and wagging his tail.
11. What is your preferred type of mathematics (algebra, geometry, etc.)? Algebra! If I put the time into it, I even enjoy it.
My new questions:
Describe your dream vacation in detail.
Do you have any slightly abnormal hobbies that rude people give you grief over?
Would you rather be an Elf or a Hobbit?
What series (plural) are you excited to share with your kids?
Which same-gender character do you most admire as a role-model?
Which opposite-gender character would you willingly marry this instant?
Are there are books/albums coming out soon that you're excited for?
In your opinion, what makes it weird that adults like My Little Pony but fine if adults like Adventure Time? (Ignore bronies' bad behavior and focus on adult/kids show.)
How would you describe your clothing style?
We're all geeks here in some way, but would you also call yourself a nerd? (Geek = pop culture/books, Nerd = academically-inclined)
Are you happy?
Voted and reblogged. :)
