from june 2nd to june 8th we are celebrating kingdon (mel king/frank langdon) and everything we love about them, individually and together ♡

you can participate by writing fics, making gifsets, editing videos, drawing fanart, creating playlists, posting meta,... basically anything and everything you can think of as long as it centers around mel and langdon, and their relationship to each other.

every day has two prompts that are meant to inspire and motivate creators. they are just guidelines and can be interpreted as literally or as loosely as you want. so have fun with them and be creative!

there's an albatross around your neck / all the things you've said / and the things you've done / can you carry it with no regrets / can you stand the person you've become? On Frank Langdon's first day back at PTMC, the weight of his shame is enough to pull him under. Then a girl with a golden braid pulls him back into the light.

Shame is like a heavy coat, and it’s been weighing on Frank Langdon’s shoulders for the past ten months.  If he’s honest, the weight descended that moment in the ambulance bay when Robby left him. If he’s honest, the weight descended the moment an R2 with a blonde braid and bright eyes whirled into the Pitt, looking at him like he hung the moon. If he’s honest, the weight descended the moment Abby found the pills in his jacket pocket, two weeks before the Pittfest shooting. If he’s honest, the weight descended the moment he wrote the first script, the moment he scraped pills from a patient who didn’t need them as much as Frank did. If he’s honest, the weight descended the moment he insisted no, I can lift this, and then no, he really couldn’t, and he fucked up his back and his mom insisted that he should have just let them call movers instead. But if he’s honest, the weight descended well before that. Probably before he even knew what the word shame even meant. And if he’s honest—  Well, the past ten months, all Frank Langdon’s been is honest.
