Hearing the younger boy's laugh just irritated him and it was clear that he was still teasing him. Taiga had been close to walking away if it weren't for the fact that the other boy surprisingly knew his name. And to make things worse, he now knows this younger boy who's been mocking him is his girlfriend's other boyfriend, Atobe Keigo!

Taiga has met Shinoa's other boyfriend before, Tezuka Kunimitsu. The guy looked more mature for his age and he had a serious demeanor to boot but he made a good impression on him. As for this guy, Shinoa has mentioned something about eventually introducing him to Atobe but he's made a real bad impression right off the bad. Not only does he sound like Aomine but he has a similar arrogance! He couldn't help but wonder why him out of all people? Although Shinoa has mentioned to him that Atobe and Tezuka were rivals and even then, he couldn't help but wonder what was Shinoa thinking when dating the rich guy.

He furrowed his brows more as Atobe said "In the flesh". He got a real weird feeling when Atobe looked at him with his hand covering his face. His eyes got beady when Atobe said that there was no need to look him up anymore.

"...Yeah, I guess."

If he was still in the mood to look up the jerk, it was only to satisfy his curiosity because this guy was dating his girl when he wasn't around.

Oh, so Shinoa talked about him to this guy huh?

"I moved there during the third grade and moved back during my second year of junior high." Oh, so Atobe lived in England before huh? That was interesting to know. He spoke in English. "...Yeah, I only know how to speak English."

Every year without fail, Atobe remembers to give him something for his birthday, even when they’re busy in different parts of the world working on their professional careers.

“Atobe-chan !! You didn’t have to fly out all the way here to come see me,” Tooru exclaims, astonished by the tennis prodigy’s unexpected appearance at his front doorstep. But surprise quickly turns into joy, and Tooru eagerly jumps out to embrace Atobe, his grin stretching from ear to ear. “But thank you !!” Tooru gives his kouhai a light squeeze before pulling back to accept the gift bag. Brown hues immediately catch sight of the white and teal volleyball, and he pulls it out with great excitement. “Atobe-chan...! This is...” Really, this boy never fails to surprise him. Tooru's heart swells with warmth as he admires the personalized volleyball, touched by his friend's thoughtfulness. "It's wonderful. This really reminds me of home." He cradles the volleyball like a precious treasure, smiling softly. Tucking it under his arm, Tooru pulls out the next gift. "Oh, wow ! I've never had a perfume like this before." He sprays a little on his wrist, bringing it up to his nose for a sniff. It’s a pleasant scent that reminds him of what Atobe usually wears. “This is really nice, I’ll definitely wear it~!”

“Thank you for the gifts, Atobe-chan ! And for coming here today. I’m really happy~~” Tooru carefully places the gifts back into the bag and reaches out to take Atobe’s hand, beaming. “My team and I are planning to celebrate my birthday later this evening. Will you come ?? They'd be thrilled to meet you, Atobe-chan~!"

     As the Student Council’s vice president, Alice was privy to exactly how much work Atobe-san put into everything he was involved in. More often than not, she wondered how he was able to juggle being the president, a top student, and a top athlete who also happened to be the captain of the club. And while she would never dare to ask if he ever needed help with anything, she did her best to alleviate his burden wherever she could. Meeting with other schools was one of the duties she took upon herself - not just because she wanted to help, but the rest of the council had suggested her gentler temperament might be preferred when dealing with outsiders.

She wasn’t in the habit of bringing up her experiences to him, but this one stood out from the rest just by the sheer strangeness of it. He’d also been mentioned, albeit briefly, by the person of interest. “Atobe-san.” Alice called as they walked out of the student council room, well used to the two of them being the first to arrive and leave. “Are you familiar with a student from Yamabuki Junior High called Akutsu?” She asked politely despite already knowing the answer was a positive one, if only to give her enough time to figure out how she would explain their encounter.

❝Hey!❞ Fresh out of a race, skin barely dried from the heaving summer heat, Natsuya stepped into the youth’s path to hold him off a second. After spectating what was possibly one of the most knuckle-whitening displays of sportsmanship he had in a long time that very same morning, he couldn’t let the player pass without at least paying his compliments. And those kids were what, 14?15? Absolute beasts!

❝You’re one of the player’s from this morning’s tennis matches, right?❞

❝You guys were pretty impressive out there!❞ Tennis wasn’t usually his thing, but he’d happened by the courts at random and remained glued to the spectacle until its climax.

He’s never been that keen when it came to another sport ( unless it was swimming. ) like Tennis yet Makoto was unable to stop watching someone play it. Obviously, the man had skill, and Makoto cannot deny how impressed he felt. Of course, with the lack of knowledge when it came to Tennis, Makoto has no idea what the score was like. But he can tell the other was winning against his opponent. “——wow.” A bit of a soft smile crosses his lips as he watched. And when it was over, Makoto couldn’t help but clap.

“ ATOBE-SAN ! you didn’t have to — ” But there he was, the HYOTEI’s KING, helping out a commoner. ” — ahhh, thank you so much ! ” Yuuki rises from her feet, her balance finally even as she only carries one box now instead of handling three of them at once. “ — normally I can handle those ! it’s just that... I forgot to watch out for that uneven pavement...”

                   His grin resembles the deviousness of the DEVIL. Much of him intends to ANTAGONIZE and EXPOSE the other, despite the difference in skill sets. Back remains against the wall and arms are crossed over chest. He attempts to appear relaxed and unnerved, but his interest was PEAKED the moment the other decided to PRACTICE. Seldom does he stick around long enough to observe others, but there’s something about this presence that PULLS HIM. Why not entertain the potential chaos that could occur?
