KIPEPEO EFFECT
Kipepeo is Swahili for butterfly. According to Edward Lorenz the man who coined the term Butterfly effect, a small change, even the flapping of wings by a distant butterfly several weeks earlier can create a significant change and influence the course of a tornado. That is the Kipepeo Effect.
Depression and Anxiety are good mimics and ventriloquists. I use capital letter for the terms and make them proper nouns like you would persons even if you cants see them. As good mimics and ventriloquists, they know when to use thoughts that sound like your words. They know how to use thoughts to sound like the words of others. And that’s ok, its their job. YOUR JOB is to remember the power of I AM.
When you hear a voice say you are not enough, when you hear a voice say I am not enough, that is not the voice of the true I AM. I AM is enough. I AM enough. When you hear a voice say you cannot make it, when you hear a voice say I cannot make it, that is not the voice of the true I AM. I AM can make it. I can make it.
We are born into language. We are not born telling ourselves I am this, I am that. We first heard it from someone, then we internalized it and the words gradually changed to I am this, I am that. Your job is to remember the power of I AM. You cast down every thought that exalts itself above the knowledge of the true I AM.
I AM AWESOME. I AM AMAZING. I AM CAPABLE. I AM STRONG. I AM KIND. I AM AWARE. I AM DESERVING. I AM LOVABLE
Dont let Anxiety and Depression fool you to think that they are the I AM. And if you need to, say “I am strong enough to get help if and when I need it.” Do something small towards your recovery. Flap those wings you kipepeo you. You never know how it will affect your life tornado.
