46) …out of envy or jealousy.
Lucy didn’t doubt Quill. She didn’t doubt he was a good man, she didn’t doubt he loved her, and she didn’t doubt he was loyal. He was a great man, she sure couldn’t have been more lucky to be with him and she couldn’t ask for anyone better; sweet, comprehensible and kind. Too kind sometimes.
Like a lightbulb to moths, his handsomeness attracted people to him, and his kindness made them stay, especially women, more than Lucy liked to think about. He never returned any of their blatant flirtations, but she still hated it to see when others tried to sink their filthy claws on him. On her man. So she took it upon herself to drive away any vultures that flied around him in the most passive, non-violent way she she could think of.
Quill and her had almost finished getting the groceries, they were just collecting the last items on Holly’s list when some girl approached them and made some lame comment about one thing or another, Lucy hadn’t really listened, but the redhead had and he had responded. Now they were casually conversing, with her leaning closer and closer to him, unzipping her jacket and tucking back her hair behind her ear while she basically ate him up with her eyes.
Warmth bubbling in the pit of her stomach, Lucy stepped up between him and the shopping cart, feigning to adjust some of the buttons of his shirt while she pulled the neck slightly down, revealing red marks peppered all over his neck and throat. With a slight smirk she pressed a kiss to his jaw, looking up to the other girl. She was looking that way, slightly blushed and with a minor scowl. She excused herself and walked away.
“You petty little doll”
Lucy looked up to her boyfriend, batted her eyelashes innocently “I was just letting her know”
“Know what?”
“That you’re mine”
Kipplyle?
Happily:
Pushing a pull door/viceversa: Lucy. Definitely Lucy, until Quill comes up to her and gently does it correctly
Doodles little hearts on the desk: Lucy. She’s the artist between them, and she loves making the little hearts all different; some have their initials, some have little wings, halos, sometimes horns, arrows, or other little things.
Starts the tickle fights: no one. They’re not fond of tickling.
Starts the pillow fights: Lucy. Quill probably says a dirty joke and gets smacked in the face with a pillow, then the battle breaks out.
Falls asleep last: Quill. Insomnia, too much coffee, anxiety - he always has a hard time falling asleep and usually just ends up listening to Lucy sleep with a tired smile.
Mistakes salt for sugar: Quill. They look the same, Lucy, goddamit!
Lets the microwave beep at 1am: Quill. Again, if his awake at that hour he will be getting some snack.
Comes up with cheesy pick up lines: Quill. He rarely does it, but when he does, its all just to bother Lucy of course.
Arranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order: Quill. His a neat freak.
Licks the spoon when making brownies: Lucy. Can’t let that delicious batter go to waste, no sir.
Buys candles for dinners: no one. They already have tons of candles lying around for the job, its fine if they take a few as long as Holly doesn’t notice.
Draws little tattoos on the other: Lucy. She loves doodling on Quill’s arms with her pen whenever his reading.
Comes home with a souvenir magnet from vacation: Lucy. Its nice to have their good memories on clear sight.
Convinces the other to fill magazine couple surveys: no one. They don’t really read magazines other than True Hauntings and barely London Society.
Holly: [texting] where are you and Lucy? you're late

Quill: okay, there will definitely be domestic violence in our marriage
Quill: still, lets gets married!
