The highest compliment Kit has ever given someone is that they could see stars in their eyes. The stars mean something special to them, something hard to explain, and they don't just share that with people. Of course, Acacia didn't know that, and neither did Navy. So when Kit started sharing their favorite constellations, the stories behind them, and why they loved those constellations, neither thought much of it. Kit however, was annoyed, because they were flirting with them, how long would it take for them to realize that.
Navy was the only birdfolk in the group. It was kinda cool sometimes, because she ended up with little kids being super excited to play with her because wings. It was also vaguely annoying sometimes. For example, she's trying to get Acacia and Kit to accept or deny her courtship. She's doing all the steps, following all the traditions, and it's going great! But it kinda fails when she shows them the feather circlets she made from feathers she collected while preening, and she realizes that. Neither of them are birdfolk. Neither of them would realize the significance. And she just kind of internally screams.
Acacia does not know how to flirt. Plain and simple. She high-key cannot flirt. It's embarrassing to watch her try. But what they can do is shoot stuff. Therefore, the logical conclusion is to impress Navy and Kit with their impressive bow skills, and then they would all be in love and hold hands and it would be great. OK, so maaaybe the plan needed some work. It was fine, it would be fine. (It did not turn out fine. They were too used to Acacia's skill to be impressed. Maybe this would not be as simple as she thought it would be.)
August is sick and tired of these three idiots in love. Sick. And. Tired.
