Over the next few weeks I will post a review about my favourite kitchen books. These won't just be cookbooks, there is a lot of great kitchen lit out there and a few of those grace my bookshelves. Please enjoy this peek at my bookshelf... The international breakfast book **Martha Hollis** I picked this book up in Toronto. Walking home from work,my friend and I stumbled across a book sale in a church courtyard. Someone called out 'fill a box for a quarter' and we were sold! We lugged a shitload of books home that day and it was worth it...this book was in that pile and it has the best pancake recipe! Very versatile, I have used all sorts of flour, sweeteners, liquids and fruits to these and the only one that failed was coconut flour... This book also has a fantastic waffle recipe...I used to use it for brunch at a private club in Toronto that I worked at, they loved it!
