Mum, sis don't get up

I found these kittens underneath the house. Actually, I heard them a few days prior. I just had to get the nerve up to go under the house and get them. I would have left them with the mom, but she kept leaving them for several hours at a time, she was feral- so, they too would have been feral and the humane society here seems to euthanize a lot of cats. Or so I’ve heard. Not only those two reasons, but we also get snakes and a week ago we had a copperhead go underneath the house. So, they probably would have been ate by the snake which is also why I hesitated going under the house but I didn’t want to have guilt if it happened and plus I wanted a kitten anyway, and what better way than to rescue one? (Or four) It was a handleful juggling the routine feedings of the kittens, helping them use the bathroom, and taking care of my toddler at the same time. But it was worth it:) We kept two, the chubby orange one (my mom’s) and the white one (mine and my sons- I wanted the gray one but the white one, Murphy was so sweet and had developed quicker than the others- he’s a smart kitty) the other two- went to a loving home together. The lady sent us pictures of her son “hogging them to himself” lol so they are getting lots of love.❤️

That last picture- they surprised me. They were asleep in their bed, and I came into the living room and sat on the couch. They got off their bed and jumped into my lap and went to sleep. 🥰

Also, before this, my mom and stepdad hated cats. Now, their cat Simba sleeps in their bed. 😂
