Hi! I was looking at your Mega Man oc (Jazz) and noticed her creator had a different surname than she did. Did you just decide later that you wanted her to be Japanese? Or was that a lore thing?

Oh hi!! I assume you're referring to the very first post I made about them, yeah? Pretty sure that was back in... what, 2021? I that was around the time I had just gotten into MM and was still feeling things out.

If I remember correctly, at that time I only had access to the Archie Comics iteration of events, which admittedly did seem to be in a more western setting. And even then, both she and Jazz weren't as fleshed out as I'd have liked them to be. The post you're referring to was their beta designs. Jazz doesn't have armor now, the "granny" thing was dropped, etc. etc. They were first drafts!

It really wasn't until I was able to nab pdfs of Megamix/Gigamix that things really clicked into place and I fully committed to them being Japanese citizens.

Her name and appearance have changed since then, and I'm honestly at a point where I'm much, much happier with what I've cooked up for her, Jazz, and the rest of the DTNs.

Oh god current favorite?? That's honestly a lil hard to determine because I've got like.... 20 muses ping-ponging around my head at any given moment with half of them being OCs. Having Said That—

I am gonna force myself to say its my (one) of my new Undertale blorbos. This is Clara Northlight, she's basically a war cleric, and I love her to bits. I may or may not be rotating a whole storyline that took place before the game's main event, specifically during the war between humans and monsters, and I have. Grown very attached to her and the others that I might have to make a "Everything Goes Right! Yay!" AU.

WAILS!? That makes me so happy to hear, I'm honestly a lil surprised people seem to like the gorls?? I do plan to have a post going into more detail about them (as well as an oc connected to em) and their roles in the group, but for now:

I know that 1. they formed while most of the girls were still in college and 2. they weren't a group formed in Vinyl City. They've been around for a bit, but it's only fairly recently (Like. Within the past few years or so) that they've grown in popularity.

i think it'd be around this time that comments about them being "rivals" to 1010 would start to pop up (or 1010 being rivals to them, either or), and it's honestly like? All in good fun to them. They make reference to it, probably do have a little friendly rivalry with the boys over social media, etc. etc. There's no real ill-will towards anyone.

The group doesn't actually come to Vinyl until some time after the events of the revolution, and I thiiiink it might have been for a collaboration with NSR itself? Probably with 1010 specifically, because why not ride the wave of irony.

Their opinions of the NSArtists themselves tend to range from "Oh hey I know them! ... OH I KNOW THEM." to "No strong opinions on them" to... .

.. . Not. The most favorable opinions.
