Relief flooded his body as soon as Kiki wrapped her arm around him, to which he found himself longing to nestle into her comforting warmth--though he noticed the kitten in her arms--and though his eyes were watering with blood, the black cat caused a smile to trace his lips.

          “No--no...ah, I...you haven’t been around death....as much as I.” He slightly shook his head, being careful not to touch her with his gloved hands that were now covered in blood, having been examining the corpse nearby.

            “Please--ah, don’t feel bad I...it was a misunderstanding. I...you w-were scared, and I know that I walk so silently--if anything, I’m sorry.”

        Looking to the kitten now illuminated by the wiccan’s flashlight; he leaned close towards the kitten and tilted his head in a curious manner. “Midnight...such a beautiful name!” Leaning away as he assumed a seat near the body, he averted his gaze. Knowing he hadn’t directly answered Kiki’s question, he let out a shakey breath.

           “I...you know that pull--that...that sensation I’ve been messaging you of--? W-well I...I could hardly focus on my work...and...so I hurried to follow--but...” Giving a small shake of his head, Garridan sighed. “I...I thought I came close, but--then I smelt blood...and then you. I w-was worried, so I...I thought I’d check.”

        Raising his head, he flashed a sad smile to the wiccan. “Perhaps w-we ought to ah...inform the police...then maybe ah...I could make you tea-? I’m sure ah...the recent events must have been rather...traumatizing.” Upon the realization that Kiki had watched him examine the body; he found himself apologizing once more. “Oh--I...I’m sorry you had to ah, see me...I suppose it’s...my natural curiosity. More than likely ah--this body will be...given to me.”

“It’s alright Garridan I should’ve known it was you but....I guess I got a bit paranoid cause what would you be doing here?” She still was confused as to why her best friend was in the abandoned building to begin with. However when he moved the topic to the cats name she moved with it and smiled. “Yes I think it’s suiting....sadly I can’t take her home with me but there’s no way I’m giving her up...maybe I can sneak her? I’m unsure.”

She perked up as her friend finally got around to answering the question that had been on her mind. “Oh whoa...it led you over here?.... I’m sorry that I ended up distracting you. Hopefully whatever it is summons you again!” She stands up and examines herself. “Well....yes let’s inform them but let’s not stick around? I’m covered in this mans blood and I’d rather not be questioned by the police tonight...and I’d love to come over, tea sounds great and we can clean this little one up!” Now that she knew it was just Garridan and she wasn’t in any danger all her panic had melted away.
