Eleven days ago, I rescued this blind kitten and got her home in a very fragile and malnourished state. She had a very bad cold and fever back then, and she could barely walk around. After three days of medical treatment at Utkarsh Hospital in Mulund and staying up late to comfort her,nurse her and nourish her back for life,she has turned into a happy floof ball. Though she’s a blind kitten,she’s very sweet and loving. Since her health recovered,she sniffs and finds me around the house and follows bae and me all the time. Like any other cats, she digs eating sakana a lot and her fave pass time is to take a nap in my lap, cuddle up and play with bae’s beard and sniff around the house. Initially, I sympathised her and assumed that it would be very difficult for her to have a happy life;but it turns out that she’s a happy kitten just like a normal kitty; she just needs lil extra loving sometimes to ensure that she’s not alone. Since the time I temporarily put off my schedule and went on a lil Kiternity leave to be with her and litter train her, I started deeply appreciating the efforts of all those parents out there who have kids with special needs, and their will and zeal to make their children’s lives better by loving them,taking care of them,supporting them and not abandoning them; just cos they are born in a different way. This lil burrito of joy taught me how to be more kind and patient,which is yet another great quality to learn and possess as a human. P.S: Though I wanted to name her as Cookie/Brownie or Macarena, we have settled to call her Baby Chii for now; as the name is inspired from one of our fave anime based on a kitten’s life called Chi’s Home Sweet Home.
