~I absolutely ADORE writing for these goobers! They’re so cute together, and it’s really fun to just write some tooth-rotting relationship fluff. Thank you for doing this art trade with me, Pocky!~
(For those who don't know, these are both @pockysfluffiez's adorable OCs, relating to the Spider-Verse)
Lee: Micheal
Ler: Ruthie
Summary: Ruthie’s in a terrible ler mood, unable to focus on her book. So, when her cuddly boyfriend stops by, she can’t help but make their quality time a little…chaotic.
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don't like that, scroll away!!
Ruthie bounced her knee under the table, twirling a strand of her hair as she tried to ignore the intrusive thoughts in her mind.
They weren't necessarily bad (she'd certainly had worse), but they were rather distracting. The girl was attempting to draw, but she just couldn’t get her racing mind to focus on the pages.
What were these evil, hindering thoughts, you ask? Well, they were about the most distracting thing out there: tickles.
Tickle hugs, side squeezes, raspberries, fluttering fingers…she could feel her cheeks burning. Ruthie wasn’t thinking about receiving them, however; she was thinking about wrecking her boyfriend.
As if on cue, Mikey entered her room. He gave a little knock on the door frame before striding over, lifting Ruthie up out of her chair. He nuzzled his face into her neck, planting a little kiss there. “Hey, Angel…”
Ruthie squeaked, the bit of stubble on his chin tickling her neck. It wasn’t deliberate—just a happy accident for Mikey. “Hehey, Teddy. You in a cuddly mood today?”
“Mm-hm. Nest?” he hummed, pointing to Ruthie’s bed. One of his favorite things to do when he came over was to cuddle with her in a nest of blankets, pillows, and stuffies. There was the occasional tickle fight in it, but he loved being able to spend time with his special girl in such a soft, loving way.
A little voice in the back of Ruthie’s head surfaced; one could say it was her inner gremlin. It’s words made her blush, though she couldn’t help but agree with them.
"Mikey could use a good giggle~”
“Of course, Teddy-Bear. Here, I’ll grab your paw-print blankie,” Ruthie hummed, squirming a bit in his arms. When she was begrudgingly set down, the girl began to build their little comfort nest. Micheal helped some, though he was mainly just clinging to her back the entire time.
Once the nest was finally complete, Mikey climbed onto the bed, tugging at Ruthie’s sleeve insistently. She shook her head with a smile and climbed, cuddling up beside him. Ruthie made sure her arms were free, and that she was in a position with good leverage; a lot of careful consideration goes into good shenanigans.
Mikey immediately relaxed against her, sighing softly. He was feeling really touchy that day, and the loving hold Ruthie had on him felt heavenly. He’d chosen the perfect pet name for her. “You’re the best, Angel…”
Ruthie’s heart melted at her partner’s adorableness, but she had to stay strong; her ler mood wouldn’t satisfy itself.
Slowly, she started to rub Micheal’s arms, knowing it would keep him blissfully dazed. Her hands traveled, moving down to their target: his belly.
Mikey tensed a bit as her hands rubbed his sides, but it was hard enough that it didn’t tickle. Soon, he melted into that touch as well, completely unaware of his girlfriend’s sinister scheme.
After Mikey began purring, Ruthie knew she had found her golden opportunity. Her hands slid under his shirt, nails gently scratching both sides of his stomach. The fingers on his scar were extra gentle, tracing little patterns across the sensitive skin.
“GYEEhehehe! Ruhuhuthieheheeee!” Micheal squeaked at the sudden tickles, silly giggles spilling into the room; he was too groggy to really fight back. He just wiggled in her arms, whining and snickering.
“What’s wrong, baby bear? I’m just cuddling you,” she grinned, smugly feigning innocence. It was always fun to tease the boy, even if she knew she’d get it back twice as bad later on. That was part of the fun.
“Y-youhuhu knohow- *snort* HEHEHehehey!” Mikey cut himself off with a snort, scrunching up his shoulders. Ruthie had begun to nuzzle his neck, peppering little kisses as she went.
“What was that? Sorry, you’re just making so many silly noises. It’s hard to hear you, Teddy,” Ruthie teased, taking a ten-second break from his belly to just hear the neck reactions. Sure enough, his giggles got squeakier and flooded with little snorts and chuffs; Ruthie could feel her heart melting.
“Ehehehe- *chuff * -hehe! Whyhyhy?!” While he wasn’t hating any of the tickles, Mikey still wanted to know why his girlfriend had chosen violence. The last time he’d tickled her had been a request, so it probably wasn’t revenge-based.
“Do I need a reason to wanna tickle my adorable, kind, handsome, cuddly, ticklish Teddy-Bear? Hmm?” Ruthie emphasized the word “ticklish” by tasing his sides, pulling a squeal from him. The little compliment bomb was meant to fluster him, and it did its job.
“Mmmphehehe! Sh-shuhuhush!” Mikey’s cheeks burned as he brought a hand up, hiding his face; while he loved the sweet words, they made his thoughts turn fuzzy. But, of course, he wasn’t allowed a moment’s peace.
“Hey, no hiding! I wanna see your adorable face, Teddy!”
Taking advantage of Mikey’s raised arm, Ruthie attacked, scribbling in his poor armpit. The boy couldn’t help but squeal, his arm flying down to protect himself; however, all he’d managed to do was trap her evil fingers. The assault on his stomach didn’t stop either, leaving him in stitches.
“RUHUHUTHIEHEHE! *snort* WAHAHAIT! I-I- *chuff * PFFAHAHA!” Micheal tried to squirm away, but it was no use; Ruthie kept him trapped against her, wiggling like a worm on a hook and laughing himself silly.
While Mikey’s crazy laughter was one of her favorite sounds, Ruthie knew her bear boy probably wasn’t in the mood for many intense tickles. She slowed her tickling, getting gentler and gentler until she was just barely tracing his scar.
“Heheheh… g-geheheez, Angel…” Micheal took a few seconds to catch his breath, melting at the gentle traces. He was not expecting that… “Ahany reason for wrecking me?”
“Well…I may or may not have been in a ler mood all morning,” she chuckled, pressing a kiss to the crown of her exhausted boyfriend’s head. “Sorry, giggle bear.”
“You’re so mean to me…” Micheal huffed and yawned, stretching out his weary muscles. He was ready for a nice, long nap.
“Hmm…is it really that mean if you were purring the whole time?” Ruthie asked, trying not to smile too widely. The entire time she was tickling him, Micheal was purring softly, the rumbling in his chest letting her know just how much he was enjoying himself.
“I- hush,” he grumbled and looked away, blushing once again. Ruthie was being downright evil, and it was kinda throwing him for a loop.
“Nah. Would cuddles make up for it, Teddy-Bear?” Ruthie cooed, petting his hair. She knew she was supposed to feel a little guilty, but…well, he was just too cute. Plus, she knew he was nowhere near being actually upset.
“I guess, but they’d better be amazing,” he huffed, rolling his eyes dramatically. Ruthie just snorted and shook her head at his antics, settling back down beside him. Thanks to all the laughing, Mikey was nice and warm.
“You’re such a good space heater, Mikey.”
“Oh, ha-ha. Go to sleep, you goof.” He tased Ruthie’s side, smirking at her little squeak of surprise. She was gonna get it…but that could wait ‘til later.
“Jeherk…love you.” Leaning up, Ruthie gave him a little kiss, a fuzzy happiness growing inside her chest as she felt him smile against her lips.
“Love you too, Angel.” He turned to face her, cuddling up against her chest. The moment her fingers started scratching at his scalp, he was gone, purring and letting his eyes slide closed.
The steady rumbles against her chest and arms were soothing, relaxing the girl and helping to calm her down. It wasn’t long before she joined her boyfriend in dreamland, drifting off with her favorite person snug in her arms.
