Alright, reporting on my first experience entering a Threadless Design contest!
My design, ‘90′s Girl’, was entered into the Threadless ‘the 90s’. It was based on black fashion in the 90s and I was really happy with the colors. That triangle pattern in the background took me like two days to make, so that wasn’t fun(it put me behind on working on Gifts & Curses).
So it was up for 10 days and we don’t see the scores in real-time, but I was really excited because I really love this design. I figured I wasn’t going to win about half way through though because some posted this rad t-rex play a guitar or something and I was like ‘that’s awsome!’
So apparently I was mostly scored 1s & 2s and that hurt my feelings a little, but I got a bunch of new followers in the Threadless community from this challenge (I’m in the 30s when I think I had about 10 before) and I got a lot of nice comments, so overall it was a good experience.
Anyway there’s another contest opening up on Friday(Mar 24,17) that I’m going to submit to so I’ll keep everyone posted when my design is put up!
