OKAY TAKE TWO cos tumblr didnt SAVE MY POST and i had to start all my text from scratch OTL 

    It just occurred to me that I should have done the improvement meme for my very first troll EVER, so here’s a KITKAT !! The first piece here isn’t her first art per se, but it IS the first time I had drawn her as a fantroll !! I had made her when I was around 7 or 8 years old as Kitana Inuzuka and flipped to Kitana Okamii- as you can see, I really tried to fit that 6 x 6 naming rule MJNHSHBSG

    She was icy blue with pyrokinesis psionics, but changed after much discouragement and criticism from the FTC over on deviantArt. Being 13 years old at the time it broke my heart, but I changed her again and again. From an arrow-horned royal blue, back to icy blue, and now the weird turquoise-y color she is now, and still fire themed !! Though now through more “sensible” means by FTC standards, plainly a pyromaniac.

    Of all my charactars, Kit here has gone through the most changes, and still is !! I’ve gone through many rewrites and reorkings, redesigns and all for Kitana from when i was 8 to now at 21 and I’ve enjoyed every new iteration of her along the way. She just gets better n better yknow? Her story gradually slots into place in a way I’m more proud of and enjoy writing, and I’ve yet to show all o yall her NEW reworkings later on, cos baby girl is COMIN BACK. On god she gonna be back. 

My fave about showing off Kitana’s growth more than anything is how all o yall get to see how I progressed as a traditional AND digital artist! Where I picked up my first markers, to my first copics at the start of the 2nd row, to my learning how to use a tablet at the start of 2017 and so on and so forth. It’s been a great ride

Finding 2016 yule ball art of Kitana has got me all weepy. i will never be as powerful as i was back in high school when i was uploading like 2 - 4 pieces daily nhbgsdbgdbgv

i have a handful of characters that are.. a surviving twin, or a surviving triplet [Katlyn 2, Geniva 3, Reva 2, Riqxae 3, Qylone 3] but i only have two characters whos twin ISNT dead asdjhdjhdg [Viserys + Cyrell]

BUT i dont have any surviving triplets.

just as a general headcanon i dont think its common for them all to survive and make it out the caverns together- i HC them kind of like sharks in that sense, killing each other in the egg or leaving one to die

 i have had so many different concepts and versions of kitana that i wanna branch em off in a way where their individual stories will make sense. so one will be a witch. another is an anarchist. the 3rd might be fleetbound and exploited for her shifting abilities.

eventually the 3 heads of the cerberus will join together again

as much as i love kitana, im thinking about shelving her from this blog and just keeping her as like, a plot device for my own personal stories tbh 

this place killed her muse years ago what with all the sexual anons and whatno, and Bad RP Experience of her being Used [both on here and back on other sites i used to be on, she’s my oldest character] which is just incrediby disappointing tbh

i know theres some ppl here that love her !! which means the world to me, but ill be scrapping her from the public until further notice v-v shes just one of them hard-to-reach muses for me now

before n after time: feat. my first fantrolls

its just very refreshing to see how much theyve changed- altho i never rlly changed kitana TOO much design wise. it was interesting as hell to see Raizol go from some emo hair stylist to what he is now LMAO

theyve both grown a fuck ton as trolls though. boy howdy do i love my villain and anti-hero, whom started out as matesprits !! how wild is that. im in far too much physical pain to really ramble on about them as much as id like, so i leave yall w/this. i was 12-13 years old at the time of drawing these guys and i honestly cant tell which of the two came first, they were both made around the same time? and soon after these two came Chrona/Kronus, Himmel, and Adonis !! i love my original 5 so very much..

also before anyone thinks its u Need to dive into digital art to improve; u dont !! i know when youre young or just starting out it can feel like a bit of an obligation, seeing how very little traditional art rep is online at least. but im actually p new to digital art !! you dont HAVE to get a tablet or HAVE to learn how to do digital art to get better. i just started using it around the very end of senior year because i couldnt afford ink refills for my copics and paper to actually Draw On jhsdhdfg i had relied on my art classes and teachers to help provide for the things i needed v-v 

EDIT: The midway point leading to Raizol’s current design !! The first time i had considered the concept of having Raizol thrown into the fleet and cyborg’d him up, some concepts that lead to his current story n everything vuv ive since realized that 1; i sure did add a fuck ton more scars and 2; ive since accidentally been drawing his symbol backwards for the past almost 4 fucking years now OTL oops
