No Place is Home by @catsushinyakajima (AsterikaMay on ao3) - woof finally managed to read this! This is a very heavy, but very beautiful, fic about Lance coming back from Space and finding out his twin Rachel has died. Trigger warning (ofc), but this is such a beautiful fic, and we're just at the first two chapters! Can't wait to read the rest 💞

six by @jupiters-junipers (europa_report on ao3) - OF COURSE I'm gonna read the sequel of five. And OF COURSE I'm gonna enjoy it and cry and scream at 3 AM. And you should too! This is on-going, so I... I am scared of what will come. But I trust Europa, I know she will give us a beautiful ending (but not without pain first—)

The Craving by haryuusart - guys honestly this might be cheesy, but I'm just SO proud of this one lol AND technically, I did re-read this again before publishing its last chapter, sooo... anyway, thought some of you might be interested! five by @jupiters-junipers - GOD, europa strikes again. Just stayed up til 4 am to read this. It was like watching an even more intense hunger games honestly, I could NOT put it down for one sec 😭 Highly recommend if you enjoy team Voltron put in a blender (but tw for violence, psychological torture and trauma. LOTS of trauma)

Skin still by fawnface - THE TENSIONNNN goddd loved this one!!! Keith confronts Lance after he kissed him. Sexual content, not super explicit! Very enjoyable + funny scene at the end

who are you again? by @jilliancares - one of my favourite klance writers of all time recently started writing klance again and I couldn't be happier about it. I WAS STARVING!! Such a fun, short story about Lance having amnesia and finding out Keith's his boyfriend!

escape velocity by @existwound - i don't even know what to say about this. like, just read it. Post canon, nsfw content, incredible, so well written. I stayed up for several nights just because I couldn't stop reading it GOD existwound your brain........

take me by the hand by spaghetti_o - another short story, sooo cute. Lance and Keith dance together and then... Things happen (nsfw). I really enjoyed Keith's characterization in this one, a bit different from "the usual"!!

And suddenly, while they stared at each other, Lance couldn’t take it anymore. He wants more, wants more than just looks and brushes of arms and legs and this stupid endless dance. He wants to taste Keith’s lips and his neck and his cheeks and everything. Lance wants to run his hand through Keith’s godawful mullet and feel the electricity of love rush through him. He wants to pull him in and never let him go.

"Kiss me." Lance whispers and that’s all it takes for Keith to kiss him like every fibre of his being is suddenly dying, and Lance is his only medicine.

His lips are soft against Lance’s—a paradise he’ll never forget.

Keith puts his hands on either side of Lance’s face, and the world falls away. He’s never gotten so lost in a kiss before.

Lance’s heart keeps missing beats and his hands cannot bring Keith close enough. He tastes Keith, saliva and sweat that broke out on his upper lip, and realizes he’s been starving.

Lance has kissed before, but it didn't feel like this.

Lance has loved before, but it didn't burn him alive.

Keith’s mouth meets Lance’s again, and they only come up for air when necessary. Beneath Keith’s tongue there is a god and Lance finds it every time.

Maybe it lasts a minute, and maybe it's an hour. All Lance know is that kiss, and how soft Keith’s skin is when it brushes against his own, and that even if he didn’t know it until now, he’s been waiting for Keith forever.

WIP of fic coming next week!

Lance used to pray at funerals, when he was very little. He’d press his palms together and privately say a few kind and encouraging words, because no one taught him any actual prayers since they rarely went to church. But he’d clench his eyes shut and try nevertheless. Because maybe if he tried, God would see his efforts and make something good happen for the dead. Then Lance started killing in the war, and he stopped praying. How could he, when he was the one holding the gun? What was the point in hoping someone had a good afterlife when they could’ve had a good life, and Lance had taken that chance away?

happy 10 years to the first chapter post date of and, action!.

i understand there are only a small handful of people who were with me through the posting/writing of this fic who are still with me now. and that more recent followers do not know me for this at all. therefore, making this post feels a little strange but still something i've been looking forward to documenting.

10 years ago, i fell headfirst into vld. i genuinely loved it and klance (still have a soft spot for the og red/blue). it was the first big obsession to grace my blog (back when i was known as @ bluethisisforyou). i started my real foray into writing fic by taking fic prompt asks. and from those smaller pieces, i built up to thinking:

what if i wrote something longer?

and using an idea from a post on tumblr (i don't have it on me right now/remember the nature of the post) as inspiration, i opened a google doc. typed four thousand some words. then i posted the first chapter. that was really supposed to be how much i would write. but that would quickly bloom into my first experience watching something spin wildly out of my control in the best way possible.

it would become an experiment in having fun. it would teach me a lot (saving that for for my secondary anniversary post for the day the last chapter was posted (12/31)). it would become a spurt of creativity so potent it would lead to me to create a 100k+ fic. so, for now, i am just taking a moment today on the dash to write:
