Domestic Klance Headcanons (canonverse post s8 established relationship)
Mornings
- When Keith is on Earth he hardly ever leaves Lance’s side. They fix their routines to include or account for the other, but all of their free time is spent together.
- Keith would never let Lance know but sometimes when Lance is still asleep, long tan arms wrapped around him, Keith cries a little at how much he loves the feeling and how much he misses it when he is away.
- Keith wakes up early to train most mornings so each day he encounters long arms pulling him back into the warmth of the bed when he tried to get up.
- Keith can’t resist the feeling of Lance’s soft skin against his back and stays.
- He begins to set his alarm ten minutes earlier than usual so that he can cuddle with Lance before getting up.
- Keith is a coffee demon. He may wake up early but that doesn’t mean he is a morning person. He isn’t even slightly negotiable or remotely sociable until he’s downed his triple black espresso.
- Lance, on the days where is is up early enough to see Keith have his coffee complains about how it will age him and make his pores bigger while sipping his herbal tea
- On days where neither of them feel like getting up they love just lying together. They either talk or watch some Netflix on the TV; sometimes they just lay there enjoying each other’s company.
- Lance loves holding Keith’s hands while his gloves are off.
- Keith loves tracing the freckles on Lance’s nose and shoulders.
- Keith loves kissing Lance’s shoulders.
- Since working on the farm, Lance is exposed to a lot of sun and although he protects his skin very well, Keith is obsessed with how dark Lance’s skin has gone. He loves mentioning how beautiful the colour is.
- On these mornings they ease into the day really slowly. They get up late, have long, warm showers together. They make breakfast together and often invite the whole gang to come around.
- Coffee fuelled yet still sleepy Keith resting on Lance’s shoulder as the Cuban tells their friends about their plans for the week is so soft. Like imagine Keith’s floofy freshly washed hair falling in front of his eyes.
Night.
- surprise dates.
- Like a lot.
- Keith will come home from a meeting at GG to see the entire house cleaned but empty. He walks through the house looking for his boyfriend before a light coming from the backyard catches his eye. He follows it to find it’s a string of fairy lights. Lance has set up the back table with two plates of what ever he’d practiced while Keith was away and candles lit everywhere.
- Keith loves to take Lance to mystery locations. Cue blind folded Lance clinging to Keith for dear life on the back of his hover bike.
- It’s usually the beach. Not only because he knows Lance loves the beach. But because Keith is away in space a lot and he misses the beach himself. More importantly, he misses watching Lance at the beach. In his natural habitat. They swim and surf (yes both of them Lance totally taught Keith how to do it) and then they watch the sunset together while floating on their boards in the gentle water past the second break.
- Lance loves to do his skin care routine on Keith. Keith doesn’t mind it anymore because he loves Lance’s concentration expression. His little tongue poking out at the side of his mouth as he gently rubs oils and creams into Keith’s skin. Lance loves the intimacy of it all, the room is filled with serenity as they sit in clam silence, mere inches from each other’s faces.
- Lance often just leans in and kisses Keith.
- Late night talks about literally everything. They go from planning to talking about friends, the future.
- (This is for my own feelings towards s8 and no one can stop me)
- Then one night, Keith is about to go back on another mission, Lance starts crying.
- He tells Keith that he saw his parents run down farm when the war was over. He chose is because he wanted to be alone. It was peaceful and it helped him work through everything. But he didn’t want to be alone anymore.
- He tells Keith how much he loves him and how he misses Keith too much. He loves earth but it’s not going anywhere. He misses space. He wants to go with Keith on his missions so they don’t have to be apart so often. He wants to see the universe again, especially now that is is in a new state of peace.
- Lance wants to help people, meet new species of aliens as he helps to restore each planet.
- Keith takes Lance back to space with him in a heartbeat.
