Vitali & Wladimir Klitschko, whom I photographed in LA for German GQ in 2004. As some of you may know if you are following the Russian atrocities unfolding in Ukraine, Vitali (left) is the mayor of Kyiv. He has been mayor since 2014. The Klitschko brothers hold PhD’s and we’re both multiple world heavyweight champions. From 2006 until 2015, Vitali and Wladimir dominated heavyweight boxing, a period widely known as the Klitschko Era. My thoughts are with the Ukrainian people, especially the very young soldiers who are thrown into combat in a very uneven war.
