After Parties
With restrictions that set by the so called ruling party, parties for the 'rainbow' community here are slowly reducing which is really sad. I am sure that is not the only reason. Whatever the reasons are, I will say that it such a waste to cancel such gatherings.
Couple years ago, I was not in the city. I was taking my degree somewhere that needed 2 buses rides and 1 train ride just to get to the city that get another ride with friend to get to the party. I don't know many people during my first time and I was not familiar with the art of socializing . It's funny how a little introductory lead to another then another and soon I was turning into introductor-er my self. I made a lot of now my best friends who help me through my studies, my work, my relationship or basically, my life. You thought I am making this up, no I'm not kidding, in two years my life had turned 360 degrees thanks to all these. I learn a lot about ideologies, sexuality, politics and genders through all these conversation that I had during the events.
You know how it is to find people who had common sexuality preferences with us? My gay-dar is totally impaired like 70% others outside so the idea of having a social occasion where all of us can gather comfortably, are fucking incredible , or more accurately, fabulous!
These parties change me. It made me confident, made me comfortable of who I am, it made me a loud extrovert who are brave enough to speak her mind.
However I understand , that dedication of organizing such events need hard works and a lot of supports. Me as an humble muggle, can only spread the words and nothing more. My pov though, everything had its ups and down, believe me the ups in these parties are worth enough the trouble.
Bring back Rainbow Rojak/SOFA/KLWord parties! I am so sorry that I sound like a Belieber trying to get Justin out of jail or a hippies trying to legalise weed but oh gawd please!
