Cynthia Fox:
So this doesn’t really belong in the muses/groupies/gfs series, but I’m including the tag because I’m worried if I don’t, no one will notice Cynthia’s bio (especially since she’s basically only famous in SoCal, lol). Cynthia is a Los Angeles, CA native who began her career working on the campus radio stations at the University of Redlands and Loyola Marymount University in southern California during the mid-1970s. This led to an internship at KMET Radio, which was the most popular rock music station in LA at the time, where she worked on the tape delay. Cynthia’s main responsibility was bleeping the bad words from accidentally slipping live on air. She was then promoted to an on-air disc jockey during the weekends, before being given all of the mid-day programming at the station. Cynthia’s tenure as a radio DJ included jobs at KMET from 1977-1987, KLSX Radio 1993-95, KLOS Radio 2003-2013 and The Sound FM 2013-17. She also briefly co-hosted a TV music program on TBS called “Night Tracks” (1989-1991).
Her original gig at KMET got Cynthia many perks in the music industry, such as interviewing dozens of classic rockstars like Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne, The Police’s Sting, Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Gos. She attended the famous 1983 US Music Festival in San Bernardino, CA where she got to introduce Motley Crue’s set; and was even invited on stage during a Pink Floyd concert at LA’s Sports Arena during their 1980 tour. Cynthia’s reported favorite music artists to interview over the years have been the Who’s Pete Townshend and Queen’s Brian May. Both of whom she claims regularly treat her like a friend whenever she speaks with them.
i don't usually put kink meta on this blog but i will say that i've been thinking about it and i think the best way to describe my views is that i am a kink descriptivist
