I love knitting by the ocean! The last weekend I spent at the Baltic Sea and it was wonderful! 🌊 We had the most beautiful sunshine but also very cold wind. With only 13-17°C I was able to wear my new hat for the first time and it kept me warm and cozy! 🌞 This is the first proper image of my new hat, so I think it is time for a little introduction: Meet Monument Hat - it is worked holding two strands of unspun yarn and one strand of silk mohair. #monumentHat I used the wonderful "Unspun 2104" from Raincloud&Sage which is a little more fragile than Plötulopi but just as sheepy and quite a bit softer. The resulting fabric is super squishy and very warm. 🧶 I already wrote up the pattern for this hat. It will be available in 5 sizes. I am very curious to know if you would be interested in testing such a warm hat in the near future as summer is just beginning in this hemisphere...
