Personality:
Leo is the poster child of duality. True to his looks, he’s a silent, rather rough person. He looks big, bulky and violent. And in the most of ways, he is. He’s lived life as a thug and isn’t about to give that up.
Once you get to know him better you’ll find that Leo’s loyal to a fault, to the point he’d even give his life for his loved ones. He’s a big softie for his closest friends but don’t piss him off, or you will most definitely regret it, anger issues litter him and he’s more than a little possessive over the ones he loves.
Background:
Life had never been easy on Leo. He’d always been an outcast, and lived a life full of envy because of it. It started out at a young age, being jealous of kids who had two parents. He only has his mother and brother, his father had run off before he was even born.
Where he and his brother got along just fine, hanging out occasionally and playing video games together, he’d have screaming matches with her, fighting almost every day. He’d spend a lot of time on the street, just to avoid her. Sometimes he’d see families on the street, and envy people with normal families.
And one day, when he was 13, his mother kicked him out. He’d come out as bisexual and his mom had been crying and screaming, eventually sending him away, claiming that an he was no son of hers. He was an abomination and the reason the family had fallen apart. It had been no secret she blamed him for his father leaving.
So he packed up his meager belongings, and left. He’d be better off without her.
Life on the street was surprisingly easy. After spending so much time there it was like a second home. He’d been affiliated with gangs before, but this time, he actually joined one. It was one of the best decisions he’d ever made. He was happy. He felt like he belonged. Who needed family. They were his family. And he’d found them, all on his own. He changed his name from Daesuk to Leo, forgetting the old name with his old life.
And when he was 16, he fell in love. The man was 28, way older than him. But it didn’t matter. They were in love. He moved in with him and things seemed, right. This time, he’d be the one people envied. Or so he thought
A year into their relationship, he found out things weren’t all what they seemed to be. The man he’d been living with was not who he thought he was.
After coming home early one day he found him in bed with a woman. His fiancé, to be exact.
The man he’d been living with had been engaged for 2 years, and he didn’t even know. Needless to say he broke up with him right then and there, only to realize he had nowhere to go.
So they came to an agreement where Leo got to stay, until he’d found a new place to live. And every day, he had to suffer watching the man he loved be happy with someone else.
And once again, he felt the envy. Why couldn’t he have a love like that?
In time he moved in with his best friend. To him, the boy was more than a friend, but things were complicated. And so he never made a move on him, staying by his side as a loyal friend, envious of anyone that came close to his precious friend.
Meanwhile his criminal career was growing more violent with each day. Where he was just tame and quiet to begin with was now a lifestyle that was growing more deadly and dangerous. He was no longer the innocent boy he was when he joined them. Tattoos now littered his body and he had blood on his hands. He’d killed for his family, and he would do it again if it meant keeping them safe.
And one day, things went horribly wrong. His gang got involved in a shootout. Things got bloody. His family was dying. He can still remember wanting to protect them. Not even hesitating once to step in when they aimed at his best friend.
He caught the bullets, and saved him. But it came at a terrible price.
The last thing he felt as he was dying was envy. Envy for the living.
When he woke up, he was in hell. And hell, was a downright nightmare. It was driving him insane and he wanted nothing more than to get away.
It was nothing compared to the hell his life as a human was. It was worse. Way worse.
So when the collector offered the opportunity to get away, he took it with both hands, living his life in Limbo ever since, hoping to maybe see his best friend again.
